Standby Provisions. (a) Where full-time employees are required to standby to be called for duty under conditions which restrict their normal off-duty activities, they shall be compensated at straight-time in the proportion of one (1) hour accumulated time for each three (3) hours standing by , with a minimum of three (3) hours accumulated time for each standby period. An employee designated for standby shall be immediately available for duty during the period of standby at a known telephone number. No standby payment shall be made if an employee is unable to be contacted or to report for duty when required. The provisions of this clause do not apply to part-time employees who are not assigned a regular work schedule and who are normally required to work whenever called.
