Standing Down of Employees. The employer may deduct payment for any day the employee may not be usefully employed due to strike action, breakdown of machinery or any stoppage of work for any cause for which the employer cannot be reasonably held responsible. The stand-down period will not break continuity of service and access may be available to annual leave entitlements with the approval of the employer.
