Step increase date upon promotion. 24 The employee’s step increase date for wage increases will be the 25 date of appointment to the higher classification, unless the employee receives 26 additional seniority credit, such as credit for temporary service in the higher 27 classification, per the provisions of Article 21.
Step increase date upon promotion. On the first (1st) day of the first payroll period at least six (6) months following an employee’s promotion, the employee progresses to the next salary step. This date becomes the employee’s “step increase date.” Subsequent step increases within the classification are at annual intervals per the salary rate schedule.
