Common use of Step One Clause in Contracts

Step One. An employee will first submit their grievance to a Shop Xxxxxxx or Union Representative, who shall then submit the grievance in writing within fifteen (15) calendar days of the event giving rise to the grievance to the Executive Director or designate. The written grievance shall set forth the nature of the grievance, the article or articles of the Collective Agreement allegedly violated, and the remedy or correction required. The Administrator or designate shall respond within ten (10) calendar days of receiving the written grievance.
