STEROIDS Sample Clauses

STEROIDS. State law prohibits students from possessing, dispensing, delivering, or administering an anabolic steroid. Anabolic steroids are for medical use only, and only a physician can prescribe use. Bodybuilding, muscle enhancement, or the increase of muscle bulk or strength through the use of anabolic steroids or human growth hormone by a healthy student is to a valid medical use and is a criminal offense. Students participating in UIL athletic competition may be subject to random steroid testing. More information on the UIL testing program may be found on the UIL Web site at xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/health/steriod-information.

STEROIDS. Research shows with one exception the chosen panel of drugs covers the majority of drugs likely to be misused in prison. There is some evidence that steroid misuse is popular with certain groups of prisoners. From time to time steroid analysis will be required when a particular problem is identified in prisons. There may be a future need for the wider scale analysis of samples for steroids. The proposal should include a detailed protocol for the analysis and reporting of steroids.
STEROIDS. Please provide a detailed protocol for the analysis and reporting of steroids. Concateno UK Concateno offers comprehensive anabolic steroid testing through a sister laboratory in the United States, Redwood Laboratory, which is also part of the Alere group, this is carried out to a World Antidoping Agency (WADA) panel. As it is in the USA, this facility is not UKAS accreditied as this standard is not applicable. Our price schedule details the cost for this service. If a UKAS accredited service is required, Concateno can continue to use its previous supplier in the UK but at a greater cost. The range of anabolic drugs and endogenous steroids tested is wide-ranging and includes substances in the WADA 2006 prohibited list. This includes but is not limited to the following compounds: Androstendiol Androstendione Bolasterone Boldenone Clenbuterol Clostebol Epitestosterone Fluoxymesterone Furazabol Mesterolone Methandienone Methandriol Methenolone Methyltestosterone Nandrolone Norandrostenediol Norandrostenedione Norethandralone Oxandrolone Oxymesterone Oxymetholone Stanozolol Testosterone Testosterone/Epitestosterone Ratio Unlike drugs of abuse testing, a “cut-off” for these substances is not applied. All are analysed at the limit of detection for the assay concerned. However, some of these chemicals are produced naturally within the body, i.e. are endogenous. A sample will be deemed positive for such a substance only when it is present at levels deemed to be inconsistent with normal endogenous production. The protocol applied to the testing of these substances will be dependent on whether the samples are part of the routine MDT process or are specific samples collected for the purpose of screening for steroids. All samples tested to date have not been part of the MDT process and have therefore been subjected to independent testing and reporting protocol. Aliquots of sample were transferred to separate vials labelled with the unique barcode assigned to the specimen. The barcode was used by the service laboratory and results were reported against this code. Other than documentation used to monitor and record the transfer of samples from one laboratory to the other, no documentation was sent to the service laboratory.

The total amount of such fines shall not exceed the player’s total Compensation.
STEROIDS. Illegal Anabolic-androgen Steroids refer to those steroids listed as banned by the South African Institute for Drug Free Sports (SAIDS). It is a violation of conduct for any student to possess, ingest or otherwise use these substances without a written prescription from a licensed Doctor who is recognized as competent by the South African Medical Association. Illegal steroids will be subject to the Testing procedures and penalties as described in 7.1.2. Use of any steroids whatsoever, which lead to unfair competitive advantage, will in addition, be regarded as cheating in terms of the Code of Conduct and may lead to the student being reported to the relevant Sports Controlling Body and banned from participating in the discipline at school for up to 6 months after medical tests have indicated that the student is no longer advantaged by the substance.
