Analysis of Samples. 1. Upon opening the ante-mortem samples the analyst checks all seals and markings against the documentation and database information. The final report issued will eventually contain the information as per individual sample label and seal. 2. If an analyst reports the sample as being sealed, it obviously indicates that nowhere during the whole process did anyone tamper with the seal, and that the chain is thus intact. It would then defeat the purpose to subpoena the administrative official, lab assistant and analysts to testify in Court about the chain of that specific sample. 3. The annexure at the back of each report describes the calibration and alcohol analysis procedures, as well as the fluoride analysis relevant to blood alcohol analysis in the case of toxicology samples. 4. Results are issued in the form of Section 212 certificates in terms of the Criminal Procedure, 1977 (Act No. 51 of 1977).
Analysis of Samples. 2.4.1 Total Moisture determination shall be done by the Third Party Agency at the nearest laboratory of the Seller and remaining tests/ analysis for determination of moisture, ash, GCV on equilibrated Basis shall be done by the Third Party Agency at NABL-accredited laboratory. 2.4.2 Analysis of sample(s) shall be carried out as per latest version of IS 1350 (Part-I)-1984 (Reaffirmed 2019) for determination of Total Moisture, Equilibrated Moisture, Ash and Volatile Matter and as per latest version of IS 1350 (Part-II), 1970 2), 2022 for determination of GCV.
Analysis of Samples. (a) Purchaser, at its expense, shall analyze the laboratory samples sent to Purchaser's designated laboratory in accordance with the procedures set forth in Annex G, which is attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement; and the results of such analyses shall be used for the governing purposes of this Agreement. Annex G delineates laboratory sample preparation and analytical procedures that are in accordance with ASTM and industry standards and shall be used by the Parties as provided in this Agreement. Purchaser shall mail a copy of each such analysis to Sales Agent within three working days after the sample is received at the designated laboratory, which may be Purchaser's Central Laboratory in Smyrna, Georgia, or an independent coal-testing laboratory selected by Purchaser. If Purchaser elects to employ an independent coal-testing laboratory, Seller shall not be liable for any costs incurred by Purchaser except as otherwise provided in this Agreement. (b) Seller or its representative may observe any sample preparation or sample analysis performed at Purchaser's designated laboratory. (c) If Seller disputes the results of Purchaser's analysis of any Shipment, Seller shall give Purchaser written notice thereof within thirty days after Seller has received the Shipment's analysis from Purchaser. Promptly after giving such notice, Seller shall send one of the reserve samples of the Shipment to a qualified independent laboratory (selected jointly by the Parties), which shall conduct a referee analysis of such reserve sample in accordance with Annex G. The Parties shall bear equally the cost of any such analysis. With respect to a dispute over the calorific value analysis, Purchaser's analysis shall be deemed to have been confirmed, and no further adjustment in billing calculations shall be made, if the dry basis calorific value analysis by such independent laboratory differs from Purchaser's analysis by no more than 100 Btu/lb. With respect to disputes over other items of analysis, Purchaser's analysis shall be deemed to have been confirmed, and no further adjustment in billing calculations shall be made, if the analysis by such independent laboratory and the analysis by Purchaser's designated laboratory are within the tolerances specified in the then-current ASTM standards.
Analysis of Samples. A. In addition to specific State and Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements, all work shall comply with all applicable governmental regulations, customary quality standards, EPA approved analytical methods, and accepted good practice for the type of work being performed. B. Contractor shall analyze all samples within the allowable holding time appropriate to the method, matrix, and analysis. C. The Contractor, when feasible, will make its facilities available to assist the City with analysis of non-routine samples that may be required.
Analysis of Samples. Cotinine is a metabolite of nicotine and a sensitive marker of ETS exposure. Cotinine was measured in the plasma of asthmatic children previously enrolled and characterized in SARP. Cotinine was measured using a commercially-available competitive, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) (Calbiotec).23 A competitive ELISA is “an analytic procedure in which an unlabeled and a labeled analyte competes for sites to bind to a specific protein” where the higher the original antigen concentration is, the lower the measured output signal will be (Figure 1).37 A competitive ELISA is advantageous when measuring plasma cotinine levels because it allows you to analyze unpurified samples with many other background antigens and still target the antigen of interest. A Calbiotech Cotinine ELISA kit was used to analyze the Cotinine levels in SARP serum samples. The kit was a solid phase competitive ELISA and the xxxxx of the 96-well plate were coated with an antibody derived against cotinine. As per the kit instructions, 10 μl of each concentration of pre-made cotinine standard (0.0, 5.0, 10.00, 25.00, 50.00, 100.00 ng/m) was pipetted in duplicate into a 96-well plate. 10μl of each plasma sample was pipetted, in singlet, into the 96-well plate. Next, 100 μL of a second cotinine antibody conjugated to horseradish peroxidase enzyme was added to each well. The plate was agitated for 30 seconds to ensure proper mixing. The plate was incubated for one hour at room temperature in the dark. All xxxxx were then washed six times with 300 μL of distilled water using a multi-channel pipette and an augmented plate washer. Following an inversion onto absorbent paper, 100 μL of the chromagenic substrate for the horseradish peroxidase 3,3’,5,5’-tetramethylbenzidene reagent was added to each well. The plate was then incubated for 30 minutes in the dark at room temperature for color development. After the 30 minute time period, 100 μL of stop solution was added to each well and then the plate was shaken to ensure complete mixing. The absorbance was then read on a Teacan plate reader at a wavelength of 450 nm. The cotinine values of the samples were interpolated from the standard curve. Data analysis. Data analysis was performed with SigmaStat software using two-tailed tests of significance and an alpha level of 0.05. Data were graphically inspected and logarithmically transformed when departures from normality were identified. Associations between continuous variables (cotinine and bioma...
