Summer Session Chairs’ Duties and Compensation. Chairs must be available during the summer months to manage department affairs; the number of office hours needed to fulfill this requirement will vary, but the Chair should remain in close contact with the Office Coordinator and Xxxx’x Office throughout the summer. Faculty members who are designated Program Directors by the University and have summer responsibilities and expectations similar to department chairs will be compensated in the same manner as Chairs. Summer compensation for Chairs and Program Directors is based on the estimated summer workload assigned that department or program. Salary is computed as a percentage of the base nine-month salary at the close of the preceding academic year according to the Table 13F. Table 13F Estimated Workload for June 16-Sept 15 Averaged across 9 weeks Percentage of salary In unusual cases, where the estimated workload exceeds the limits of this table, for each additional half-day per week required, the percentage of salary should increase by 2.3%. The workload is averaged across nine (9) weeks anticipating Chairs and Program Directors may take up to four (4) weeks of leave, without loss of pay, during the summer (June 16-September 15). They should schedule this leave when department and programmatic demands are lightest and they may spread the work across more than nine (9) weeks when appropriate. Department Chairs are expected to continue through the summer. When necessary, Department Chair duties may be transferred to another faculty member or Department Chair for the duration of the summer (a Summer Chair). The Department Chair and the Summer Chair must develop a plan that assures the smooth function of the department though the summer and adequate preparation for the fall, which must be approved by the Xxxx and Xxxxxxx.

  • General Duties and Responsibilities 1. Responsibilities under the General Conditions of the Contract for Construction: In addition to the responsibilities herein set forth, Consulting Engineer/Architect agrees to be responsible for those matters identified in the General Conditions as being responsibilities of the Consulting Engineer/Architect.   • JOB DUTIES AND TASKS 1. Ensures maintenance and repair of Commission's properties by maintenance crews and performs maintenance and repair duties (a) Directs maintenance staff (and grounds staff in Prince Rupert) in the completion of duties related to the maintenance and repair of Commission properties; (b) Organizes and schedules crews; ensuring work standards and deadlines are met; (c) Completes performance evaluation of staff; recommends disciplinary or other appropriate action where necessary; and other related supervisory duties as required; (d) Carries out electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs and maintenance as listed on Maintenance Worker I such as repair/replace ballasts, fans, breakers and electrical fixtures, repair/replace plumbing fixtures, water lines and piping; repair gyproc walls and repair rollers on sliding doors and windows; (e) Carries out exterior repairs such as repairing roof leaks and flashing, cleaning gutters and replacing locks, railings, window and door closers and weather stripping; (f) Maintains own inventory of tools as listed in Appendix B, Part III; (g) Operates Employer's vehicle including trailers to load and unload tools, materials and/or equipment and/or Employer's assets; (h) Performs routine repairs and maintenance to appliances and equipment; (i) Performs routine repairs and maintenance to HVAC equipment; (j) Redirects contractors where minor deviations in the performance of work specifications are noted and reports on major deviations in contract performance on modernization and improvement delivery programs; (k) Performs work that requires adherence to safety procedures/practices when dealing with hazards; (l) May be required to utilize tact and diplomacy and refer tenants to other staff where appropriate. In some occasions may be required to exercise interpersonal and conflict resolution skills when dealing with tenants with complex health and social issues when other resources are not available. 2. Maintains inventory, records and standards (a) Maintains records related to work orders, chargebacks, preventive maintenance programs, and inventory; (b) Assists in the estimating and ordering of materials.

  • Developer Compensation for Emergency Services If, during an Emergency State, the Developer provides services at the request or direction of the NYISO or Connecting Transmission Owner, the Developer will be compensated for such services in accordance with the NYISO Services Tariff.

  • NON-TEACHING DUTIES A. The Committee and the Association agree that a teacher's primary responsibility is to teach. It must be remembered, however, that in addition to that primary purpose there are other responsibilities within the School that must be assumed by teachers. The Committee and the Association recognize that paraeducators, clerical employees are useful and necessary in order to implement teaching. The Committee, having made provisions for paraeducators, will continue to work toward the improvement of this situation.

  • Employer Responsibilities Recognizing the inherent risk(s) in a correctional setting, the Employer is obligated to provide a safe workplace and to educate employees on proper safety procedures and use of protective and safety equipment. The Employer is committed to responding to legitimate safety concerns raised by the Union and employees. The Employer will comply with federal and state safety standards, including requirements relating to first aid training, first aid equipment and the use of protective devices and equipment.

  • Termination of Contractor’s Responsibilities This Agreement will be considered complete when all work has been completed and accepted by the COUNTY and all warranty periods have expired. The CONTRACTOR will then be released from further obligation except as set forth in this Agreement.
