Those employees who receive the bilingual pay incentive will, when called upon, utilize their verbal language skill to respond to student/customer needs during their scheduled working hours. b. Employees with demonstrated language proficiency will be retained in a conversational language skills database and may be called upon to assist co- workers in conversation with students, family members or community members who may benefit from dialog in their first or preferred language. c. Employees retained in the language skills database are expected to respond timely to such requests as workload demands allow. Any pattern of failure to respond or failure to comply with such requests may lead to revocation of the pay incentive. Notice, with an opportunity to respond and improve, will be given before an employee’s bilingual pay incentive is revoked.

Responsibilities and Expectations. All Adjunct Faculty shall provide professional services within their individual areas of competency, including teaching or support duties according to their individual workload (or contractual) assignments as detailed in this Agreement. The following are the general responsibilities for Adjunct Faculty: i. Teaching effectiveness or providing support (e.g., library, counseling) shall constitute the primary duties for all adjunct faculty. These duties shall be of primary importance and constitute the major portion of the faculty’s responsibilities. ii. Develop, prepare, and teach college-approved courses in accordance with approved course outcomes and class schedules. iii. Each Adjunct Faculty Member shall maintain office hours for student consultation at times and places convenient to students. 1. Adjunct Faculty shall be available during the work week to confer with students about their coursework and related subjects. Availability shall include regular hours of presence in office and may include (but is not limited to) the following means of communication: before and after class conferences; email; telephone; and written notes. 2. Faculty shall submit information at the beginning of each quarter to their Division Coordinator about their regular availability to consult with students; Faculty availability shall include their regular hours of presence in their office. 3. Faculty shall respond to students’ questions, concerns and/or requests for consultation in a timely and respectful manner. iv. Student assessment and course outcomes assessment (as required in the faculty professional growth process and/or annual professional report). v. Participate in the selection of course materials. vi. Develop syllabi and course materials lists for each course taught and update quarterly. vii. Faculty shall be responsible for ensuring that learning activities are maintained through the quarter as officially defined and publicized by the college. In recognition of the importance of the assessment and reporting of student achievement, faculty may substitute other course management duties (e.g. grading, student meetings, submitting grades, etc.), for the last 50% of the scheduled class time during the final week of the quarter. viii. Adjunct faculty shall follow class size expectations and processes as outlined in the Article V.C.14 of this Agreement.

Student participating in Summer Academic Recovery Academy must complete a total of 60 hours of instructional time per course credit within a five-week session. a) Two Hours per day of In-Person Synchronous Instruction Per Course-four days a week for Five weeks: In order to complete this requirement, students participating in Summer Academic Recovery Academy are required to attend two hours of face-to- face synchronous learning per day per course. The two hours of in-person weekly instructional time per course will be assigned either 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM and/or 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Monday – Thursday (June 25 – July 26, 2018). Under this Agreement, PARTNER agrees to:  Provide goals, objectives and anticipated outcomes for the IT resources, including targeted number of people served, as described in Attachment A, and report on them to NIJC.  Assign a liaison to coordinate with NIJC in the identification, installation, maintenance, and sustainability of IT resources at the Partner site.  Promptly respond to document and information requests to receive resources (failure to promptly respond could result in loss of resources).  Participate in a pre- and end-of-project assessment which will identify project targets or goals for the new IT resources.  Participate in 1 or more of the project’s blended trainings either in person or online.  Request technical assistance from NIJC in a timely manner for help in implementing resources or participating in project.  Comply with all appropriate local, state or Federal laws and regulations regarding the use of resources provided through NACTF;  Participate in all evaluation activities required by agencies funding this project; and  As a regional hub site XXXX will work with NIJC project staff to organize and promote a distance learning training session for 10 or more personnel from tribal programs in their regions using technology equipment and an existing project Moodle course. The hub site will send 3 staff members to a training-of-trainers session at NIJC’s offices in Santa Xxxx. The session will consist of a one day rehearsal on course delivery methods and a half-day to one day of conducting the course for the 10 personnel in another location. They should: o Report, record and review absence o Undertake and record return to work discussions o Arrange and lead Supporting Attendance Meetings and Reviews o Arrange Wellbeing at Work Meetings to discuss any health concerns that are having an impact on work o Advise employees of their right to representation in advance of relevant meetings o Take appropriate action or measures and provide support to improve attendance o Maintain regular communication with employees absent from work o Consider risk assessments and return to work plans in line with guidance and procedures o Seek advice and guidance from Human Resources as required o Manage health and wellbeing information in line with Human Resources – Data Protection Policy and Employee Privacy Notice. Human Resources are expected to: • offer advice and guidance to managers and employees in the application of the Supporting Attendance Policy and Procedure and attend formal Supporting Attendance Meetings where appropriate. HR will support managers in the process of making informed, fair and reasonable decisions, asking questions at meetings where required.
