Surgeons. The respective AHS Zone Department of Surgery will allocate the procedures or operative time among the surgeons who perform Services at the Facility.

Surgeons. If the Facility is located outside the AHS Calgary Zone, the Service Provider is responsible for ensuring that surgeons are scheduled as required, in collaboration with the AHS zone/local Department of Surgery. If the Facility is located in the AHS Calgary Zone, the AHS Calgary Zone Department of Surgery will allocate the procedures or operative time among the surgeons who perform Services at the Facility. A minimum of two (2) weeks notice is required to arrange surgeon allocations in all instances.
Surgeons. The respective AHS Edmonton Zone Department of Surgery will allocate the procedures or operative time among the surgeons who perform Services at the Facility.
Surgeons. Physician Specialist does not include: (1) a Family Practice Physician; (2) an Internal Medicine Physician; or (3) an obstetrician; or (4) gynecologist. Services by a Physician Specialist is covered under this Group Policy if: (1) he or she is an active Participating Provider Group Policy Effective Date means the date on which this Group Policy becomes effective. The Group Policy Effective Date is shown in the Schedule of Benefits.

If a Facility is located in the AHS Edmonton or Calgary Zone, the respective AHS Edmonton or Calgary Zone Department of Surgery will allocate the AHS procedures among the surgeons who perform Services at the Facilities.

Intermediate care services include the following: • Partial Hospital Program (PHP) – PHPs are structured and medically supervised day, evening, or nighttime treatment programs providing individualized treatment plans. A PHP typically runs for five hours a day, five days per week. • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) – An IOP provides substantial clinical support for patients who are either in transition from a higher level of care or at risk for admission to a higher level of care. An IOP typically runs for three hours per day, three days per week.
