Common use of Surplus Employee Clause in Contracts

Surplus Employee. a permanent full-time or part-time Employee who has exercised his/her rights as per Article 14 and has been unable to secure permanent employment with the Employer. Note: A surplus Employee shall be paid as defined in Article 23. The provisions of the Collective Agreement applicable to a surplus Employee are as defined in Article 14.06.
