Survivor Insurance. The surviving spouse or dependent of any deceased member of the teacher unit shall be authorized all of the group insurance benefits accruing to the employee at the time of his/her death for a period of thirty-six (36) months after the death of the employee. The cost of group insurance shall be paid by the survivor in advance and at the same rate paid by an active employee.
