Common use of Taking of Carer’s Leave Clause in Contracts

Taking of Carer’s Leave. (1) An employee is entitled to use their paid personal/carer’s leave entitlement as paid carer’s leave in accordance with the Standard. (2) An employee who is entitled to a period of unpaid carer’s leave is entitled to take the unpaid carer’s leave as: (i) a single, unbroken period of up to 2 days; or (ii) any separate periods to which the employee and the employer agree.
