  • Negotiations Leave The Employer agrees to allow two (2) employees either elected or appointed by the Union time off to attend to negotiations for the renewal of this Collective Agreement, providing the employees are not from the same work location, and where operational requirements permit. Employees on such leave will be paid by the Employer as if they had worked. The Employer will then bill the Union for all lost wages and the Union will remit payment promptly.

  • CHILD BONDING LEAVE A prospective father, spouse, domestic partner or adoptive parent is entitled to child bonding leave of up to six (6) months. Child bonding leave must be taken within one (1) year of the qualifying event. Child bonding leave runs concurrent with FMLA/CFRA. The scheduling of child bonding leave (either on FMLA or CFRA) on an intermittent basis and/or requests for a reduced work schedule are subject to mutual agreement by the employee and the Agency/Department Head as allowed by law. Such an employee may elect to take accrued vacation or compensating time off during the period of child bonding leave except that in the case of an employee who is regularly scheduled to work less than the normal full-time workweek for the classification, paid leave shall be granted only for those days, or fractions thereof, on which such an employee would have worked but for child bonding leave. The use of sick leave during child bonding leave shall not be permitted to fathers, domestic partners or adoptive parents unless they are otherwise eligible to use it as provided in Administrative Code Chapter 3-20. Reinstatement subsequent to child bonding leave of absence shall be to the same classification from which leave was taken and the Department Head shall make his/her best effort to return such employee to the same geographical location, shift, and where there is specialization within a classification, to the same specialization. Questions as to whether or not the Department Head has made his/her best effort herein, shall not be subject to the grievance procedure.

  • LEAVE FOR PROVINCIAL CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS 1. The employer shall grant a leave of absence without pay to an employee designated by the BCTF for the purpose of preparing for, participating in or conducting negotiations as a member of the provincial bargaining team of the BCTF.

  • Training Leave A bargaining unit member who is directed by the University to engage in specified training and/or education as a condition of continued employment will be maintained in a regular pay status for the duration of such training.

  • Discounts, Rebates and Refunds Cash discounts obtained on payments made by the Construction Manager shall accrue to the Owner.   • New Employee Orientations The County shall provide the Union written notice of County-wide new employee orientations, whether in person or online, at least ten (10) business days prior to the orientation. The notice shall include time, date, and location of the orientation. Representatives of the Union shall be permitted to meet with the new employees for up to thirty (30) minutes during a portion of the orientation for which attendance is mandatory. The Union shall provide the County at least five (5) business days prior to the orientation any materials it would like the County to distribute to new employees at the orientation. If the Union staff are unavailable, the County shall grant release time for one (1) union xxxxxxx to attend the orientation pursuant to Section 6.2.1 The County shall make best efforts to provide the Union with the name, job title, department, work location, work, home and personal cellular telephone numbers, personal email addresses, and home addresses of all employees in the bargaining unit every 90 days, but no less than once every 120 days.

  • Slavery Era Disclosure Contractor shall comply with San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 12Y, San Francisco Slavery Era Disclosure Ordinance, including but not limited to Contractor’s affirmative duty to research and disclose evidence of Contractor, its parent or subsidiary entity, or its Predecessor Company’s Participation in the Slave Trade or receipt of Profits from the Slave Trade. Contractor is subject to the enforcement and penalty provisions in Chapter 12Y.
