Teacher Work Day Preparation Time. The parties recognize that the length of the teacher workday, the amount of daily/weekly preparation time and student contact time are of great importance in the district. Changes from practices in effect on these items shall not be made without bargaining with the Association in order to assure that teachers in grades K-5 shall receive daily preparation time of not less than 30 consecutive minutes sometime during the student school day, excluding lunch time. Principals may, at their discretion, and with reasonable prior notice, require staff to attend an occasional meeting during plan times, before the start of the student day, and/or at the end of the school day. Excluding regularly scheduled staff meetings, these morning meetings should start no earlier than 30 minutes prior to the current student start time, and last no longer than 30 minutes after student dismissal. Privacy areas, conducive to carrying on private conversations with a student’s parent or guardian, are to be maintained in each building for teacher telephone use.

  • Preparation Time 1. Each full-time elementary teacher shall receive 100 minutes of preparation time per week scheduled in accordance with the Previous Collective Agreement. 2. Effective June 30, 2019, each full-time elementary teacher shall receive 110 minutes of preparation time per week scheduled in accordance with the Previous Collective Agreement. 3. Preparation time for part time teachers shall be provided in accordance with the Previous Collective Agreement.

  • Preparation Period During the preparation period, a teacher will have no other assignment except in an emergency situation. It is recognized that the preparation period is a scheduled part of the teacher's work day and the teacher is expected to be in his/her respective Building. If the teacher must leave the Building during his/her preparation and/or lunch period, he/she must notify the Building switchboard operator.

  • Work Day and Work Week The normal work day shall consist of up to 8 hours of work within a 24-hour period. The normal work week shall consist of up to 40 hours of work within a 7-day period. The Employer may define the work week on an individual, department, shift or facility basis in accordance with Federal and State law.

A foreign citizen/foreign company may be allowed to bid for the property and if the bid is successful, the sale is subject to the foreign citizen/company applying and obtaining at his/her/its own cost to the Economic Planning Unit (if applicable) and/or relevant State Authority for the unconditional consent to the sale within the period stated in Clause 11 hereof but subject to Clause 22 hereof.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week for full-time employees covered by this Agreement shall be forty (40) hours, exclusive of the time allotted for meal periods, consisting of five (5) consecutive work days followed by two (2) consecutive days off. The week shall commence with the shift that includes 12:01 A.M. Sunday of each calendar week and end at the start of the shift that includes 12:00 midnight the following Saturday. The Employer retains the right to modify the work schedules to meet operational needs.
