Student Contact Time definition

Student Contact Time. “Student contact time” is any time a teacher is required to be responsible for students between the beginning and the end of the instructional day.
Student Contact Time means the total amount of time from Timetabled Time that a teacher is scheduled to exercise responsibilities (as listed below) either with individual students or with specified groups of students. A teacher who is assigned a less than full teaching load may be required by the employer to undertake other activities up to the usual amount of Student Contact Time.
Student Contact Time means the time that teachers provide face to face teaching to and supervision of students. Face to face teaching includes all direct involvement with students that occurs in timetabled time, including but not limited to pastoral care and supervision at student assemblies. This means the same as Contact Time. Teacher means a person employed by a School as a teacher and who performs duties which include delivering an educational program, assessing student participation in an educational program, administering an educational program and performing other duties incidental to the delivery of the educational program. This includes a teacher in a position of additional responsibility, but not a deputy principal or a principal.

Examples of Student Contact Time in a sentence

  • Student Contact Time A minimum of twenty-seven and one-half (27.5) hours of scheduled time for appointments, group counseling sessions (on and off campus) and/or drop-ins within a regular workweek or other assigned duties; responding to student emails and/or student phone calls which are directly related to student contact time, not to interfere with drop-ins or scheduled appointments.

  • In the event that a teacher’s workload is greater than that in 49.22(b)(3) during some of the year, then it will be addressed through the provisions in the Teacher Workload Agreement established in accordance with Clause 49.1 – 49.3. The Maximum Student Contact Time and Minimum Non-Contact Time will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis for part time teachers.

  • Note: The following table gives the Maximum Student Contact Time and Minimum Non-Contact Time for a teacher in a school adopting the Maximum Time Tabled Time for its number of Term Weeks.

  • The Maximum Time Tabled Time per week at a school shall be calculated using the formula: Maximum Time Tabled Time (hours per week) = 40 x 28.125/(Actual number of Term weeks) Maximum Student Contact Time per week shall be 80% (plus or minus 2%) of the school’s actual Time Tabled Time.

More Definitions of Student Contact Time

Student Contact Time means the time that a teacher provides face to face teaching to and supervision of students. Teacher means a person employed by a School registered and financial with the TRBWA as a teacher and who performs duties which include delivering an educational program, assessing student participation in an educational program, administering an educational program and performing other duties incidental to the delivery of the educational program. So as to remove any doubt, this includes a teacher in a senior leadership position, but not a deputy Principal or a Principal. Term Weeks means the weeks in the school year that students are required to attend School as set out in the School calendar. Time Tabled Time means the time between start bell in the morning and finish bell in the afternoon for the required student attendance in the school day less Recess and Lunch Breaks and where teachers are required to teach or supervise students. Timetabled time is equal to the sum of Student Contact Time and DOTT Time.
Student Contact Time is defined as: That component of total workload that encompasses time spent in teaching or learning engagements with students that are either curriculum or student driven and that includes timetabled teaching hours as defined below.

  • Direct contact means the contact of persons with high voltage live parts.

  • Indirect contact means the contact of persons with exposed conductive parts.

  • Relationship Manager means the individual who is appointed by us from time to time and notified to you in writing as your relationship manager in relation to the relevant services provided to you under these Terms and/or provided by our Associate;

  • Disinfectant contact time or "T in CT calculations" means the time in minutes that it takes for water to move from the point of disinfectant application or the previous point of disinfectant residual measurement to a point before or at the point where residual disinfectant concentration (C) is measured. Where only one (1) C is measured, T is the time in minutes that it takes for water to move from the point of disinfectant application to a point before or at where C is measured. Where more than one (1) C is measured, T is:

  • Contact Hour Funds means the funds paid or payable by the Department under this Contract for the Scheduled Hours of supervised training and assessment reported for a Skills First Student. Contract means this VET Funding Contract and includes all schedules, annexures, attachments, plans and specifications and exhibits to it. Contract Notification means a document issued by the Department via the SVTS that either provides specific information or advice about aspects of this Contract or formally notifies the Training Provider of a variation to this Contract. Control means, with regard to an entity:

  • Customer relationship means a continuing relationship between a consumer and a licensee under which the licensee provides one or more insurance products or services to the consumer that are to be used primarily for personal, family or household purposes.

  • Designated Contact means, the designated contact for the Bank in the Jurisdiction, as set out in Annex I of Part A of these EB Services Terms and Conditions (as may be amended from time to time);

  • Customer Contact means the individual(s), whether a contract manager, category consultant or otherwise, who are to act for the Customer as the day to day point of contact for communications from the Contractor to the Customer in relation to the Contract, being the individual(s) identified in Section 2 of the Contract Schedule or otherwise notified to the Contractor from time to time;

  • Code of Ethics Contact Person means the Chief Compliance Officer or such person or persons as may be from time to time designated.

  • Contact Officer means the person identified as Contact Officer on the cover page of this RFT;

  • Incident Commander means a member of Aurizon Network’s Staff who has been delegated responsibility for the direction and coordination of Aurizon Network’s, each relevant Operator’s and the Access Holder’s resources in the performance of their respective roles and tasks at the site of an Incident, recording events during the course of an Incident and liaison with Authorities. Incorporated Provisions means each of the following provisions:

  • Business Contact Information means the names, mailing addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers of a party’s personnel, officers and directors and, with respect to Client, such information regarding Client’s vendors and customers that Accenture may have access to in maintaining the parties’ business relationship.

  • Technical Contact shall have the meaning assigned to it in Section 4.2.

  • Client Content means any content, materials, data and information, including Personal Information that Client or its Authorized Users enter into the SaaS Services or is otherwise uploaded by or on behalf of Client to the SaaS Services. Client Content shall not include any component of the SaaS Services or material or data provided by or on behalf of Accenture or its licensors.

  • Client Contract means a futures or option contract between us and you, which is matched by an identical Contract;

  • Authorized Contact is a representative authorized by Customer to request service changes using procedure outlined herein.

  • Client company means any person that enters into an agreement for professional employer services

  • Contact Persons means persons identified by the Parties as persons who are responsible for the execution of the Agreement and whose names are set out in clause 35 below and who can be substituted in writing from time to time;

  • Joint Control means a situation where a company has multiple promoters (but none of the shareholders has more than 50% of voting rights and paid up share capital);

  • Relationship means any interest, service, employment, gift, or other benefit or relationship with an entity that would be prohibited by Title 5, Subtitle 5 of the State's Public Ethics Law if not disclosed and approved pursuant to this Policy and procedures adopted pursuant to it. "Relationship" includes any relationship of the spouse or other relative of an officer or employee if such relationship creates restrictions on the officer or employee under the conflict of interest provisions of the Ethics Law.

  • Intimate relationship means a relationship between spouses, former spouses, past or present unmarried couples, or persons who are both the parents of the same child regardless of whether the persons have been married or have lived together at any time.

  • Account Manager means a Person that acts as an agent and attorney-in- fact to buy or sell Swaps via the SEF operated by BSEF in the name and on behalf of another Person. An Account Manager may also be a Participant.
