Student Day. The school day for pupils shall be set by the Board.

Student Day. The Charter School will be open from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on a daily basis. The regular school day for students attendance will be at least six and one half (6.5) hours for a full day and at least two and one half (2.5) hours for half-day attendance, with specific opening and closing times dependent upon transportation considerations. Student Day. Whether the District is using a 100% in-person learning model, a hybrid learning model, or a 100% remote learning model, the teaching day and the student learning day will follow the regular schedule as if students were engaged in in-person learning consistent with current collective bargaining agreement provisions. Educators are expected to virtually and visually connect with all remote learners assigned to their homeroom/course every day via Google Classroom or other District- approved online meeting platform. Elementary teachers will connect multiple times throughout the school day; Middle and High School teachers will connect during each course/block.

TEACHERS may arrive late or leave early during the portion of day preceding or following the student day (prep/set-up time) to attend to personal business, emergencies, doctor appointments and similar situations with notification to the ADMINISTRATION on a “flex-time” basis. Permission must be requested from and approval granted by the ADMINISTRATION in advance whenever the leaving early or coming late will occur on a regular basis or when it impacts the student day. It is understood and expected that TEACHERS will make up the time missed.
