Common use of Temporary Closures Clause in Contracts

Temporary Closures. When the University determines that, due to inclement weather or other reasons, the University offices will be temporarily closed, the employees will suffer no loss of pay for the hours the offices are temporarily closed. When certain employees are required to report to work during such temporary closing, they will be given equivalent time off with regular pay to be arranged with the supervisor. Compensatory time will not be given to any employee who is on leave, annual leave, sick leave, or on University business in an area not affected by the temporary closure or local weather conditions for the period during which the University is temporarily closed.
