Common use of Temporary Layoff Clause in Contracts

Temporary Layoff. In the case of a temporary layoff (i.e., up to thirteen weeks (13) weeks’ duration), employees will receive a minimum of two (2) weeks’ notice in advance of the date of layoff or pay in lieu thereof, or a combination of both.

Temporary Layoff. In the case of a temporary layoff (i.e., up to thirteen twenty weeks (13) weeks’ duration)duration , employees will receive a minimum of two (2) weeks’ weeks notice in advance of the date of layoff or pay in lieu thereof, or a combination of both. ii. Indefinite Layoff In the case of an indefinite layoff i.e., more than twenty 20 weeks duration , the employee(s) affected will be given a minimum of twelve (12) weeks notice in writing in 43 advance of the date of layoff or pay in lieu thereof, or a combination of both.
