Common use of Temporary Reassignments Clause in Contracts

Temporary Reassignments. When the duties of a vacant position are reassigned to other staff members on a temporary basis and such assignment will exceed five (5) consecutive working days, the reassignment of the specific duties will be made in writing to affected employee(s) with copies to the Union Chief Shop Xxxxxxx and the Director of Human Resource Services. The employee(s) affected by the reassignment of duties shall be paid at the salary range which represents a two–step increase over the salary received immediately prior or more as determined by the College, and such increase shall be effective with the first day duties are assigned. Such time shall be excluded from consideration for position reallocation requests.
