Common use of Temporary Reassignments Clause in Contracts

Temporary Reassignments. When an employee is reassigned to another department to work in a classification for which he is qualified and able, on account of an emergency situation for a period of no longer than two (2) hours, the employee shall receive his/her own rate or the rate of the job to which he or she is assigned, whichever is the higher, for all hours worked in the assigned position. It is agreed that employees will not be temporarily transferred between gratuity and non-gratuity positions.
