Temporary Removal from Street Sweeping Route. City Representative may require some streets to be temporarily removed from 12 the list of scheduled streets sweeps under the following circumstances: 13 • Construction or development on or along a street 14 • Pavement maintenance activities, including the chip seal program or the 15 slurry seal program described in Section 7.5. 16 • Inclement weather when running water is in the gutter or street such that 17 sweeping is ineffective 18 • Special sweeping on alternative schedule 19 • Consistent non-compliance of citizens to remove parked cars during sweep 20 days 21 • Other legitimate reasons that make sweeping impractical as determined by 22 the City Representative 23 In the event that the City Representative notifies CONTRACTOR not to sweep on 24 a temporary basis, CONTRACTOR shall not be paid for the equivalent Curb Miles and 25 no administrative charges will be assessed for failure to sweep such streets. The City 26 Representative shall notify CONTRACTOR of the temporary suspension of service at 27 least one day prior to the scheduled sweep, except that in the case where the reason 28 for not performing service is because of inclement weather, the City Representative may 29 notify CONTRACTOR at any time. 30 CONTRACTOR may verbally request permission from the City Representative to 31 postpone or cancel sweeping during heavy and persistent rainstorms within the Service 32 District. CONTRACTOR may postpone or cancel sweeping only with the prior consent 33 of the City Representative. In the event CONTRACTOR has completed a portion of a 34 route, CONTRACTOR shall so notify the City Representative within one (1) hour of the 35 time the City Representative gives consent for CONTRACTOR to postpone or cancel 36 sweeping. CONTRACTOR shall not be paid for the Curb Miles not swept. 37 CONTRACTOR may propose a make-up schedule for Curb Miles that are not swept 38 because of such rainstorms. If the make-up schedule is approved by the City 39 Representative, CONTRACTOR shall post informational signs at the entrance to all 1 residential areas on the make-up route, shall perform RSS Service on the scheduled 2 make-up day approved by the City Representative, and shall be compensated for the 3 make-up services at the Curb Mile rate then in effect. If an acceptable schedule cannot 4 be agreed upon, no make-up sweep shall be performed.

  • Graffiti Removal Graffiti is detrimental to the health, safety and welfare of the community in that it promotes a perception in the community that the laws protecting public and private property can be disregarded with impunity. This perception fosters a sense of disrespect of the law that results in an increase in crime; degrades the community and leads to urban blight; is detrimental to property values, business opportunities and the enjoyment of life; is inconsistent with the City’s property maintenance goals and aesthetic standards; and results in additional graffiti and in other properties becoming the target of graffiti unless it is quickly removed from public and private property. Graffiti results in visual pollution and is a public nuisance. Graffiti must be abated as quickly as possible to avoid detrimental impacts on the City and County and its residents, and to prevent the further spread of graffiti.

  • Overstory Removal Units All trees within “Overstory Removal Units” are designated for cutting when they meet Utilization Standards and equal or exceed the diameter limits shown on Sale Area Map. B2.34 Understory Removal Units. All trees within “Understory Removal Units” are designated for cutting when they meet Utilization Standards and are smaller than the diameter limits shown on Sale Area Map. B2.35 Individual Trees. All trees to be cut, other than in the units described in B2.31, B2.32, B2.33, and B2.34, are Marked or designated by description. Trees are “Marked” when individually designated by Forest Service with paint marks above and below xxxxx height. Sale Area Map indicates areas plainly identified on the ground where leave trees are Marked to be left uncut. B2.36 Incompletely Marked Timber. Trees within incompletely Marked subdivisions shown on Sale Area Map at time of timber sale advertisement shall be designated in accordance with C2.36. A representative sample of the timber to be designated has been Marked prior to timber sale advertisement in accordance with such rules. The approximate locations of the representa- tive sample areas are shown on Sale Area Map.

  • Trash Removal The Licensee shall remove trash from the Cafeteria anytime that waste canisters are full or not less than once after every meal; whichever is greater. Any alteration to this provision must be directed in writing by the Licensing Officer.

  • Temporary Reduction of Downpayment When, under B8.33, Contracting Officer orders a delay or interruption of Purchaser’s Operations for more than 30 days when scheduled operations would be occurring but for the order, the downpayment amount required shall be temporarily reduced upon the written request of Purchaser or at the discretion of the Contracting Officer. For the period of the delay or interruption, the downpayment on deposit may be reduced to $1,000 or two (2) percent of the downpayment amount listed in A18, whichever is larger. Any downpayment amount temporarily reduced pursuant to this Subsection may be refunded or transferred at the request of Purchaser. However, if Purchaser has outstanding debt owed to the United States, Contracting Officer must apply the amount of downpayment that could be refunded to the debt owed in accordance with the Debt Collection Improvement Act, as amended (31 USC 3701, et seq.).

  • Temporary Roads As necessary to attain stabilization of roadbed and fill slopes of Temporary Roads, Purchaser shall employ such measures as out- sloping, drainage dips, and water-spreading ditches. After a Temporary Road has served Purchaser’s pur- pose, Purchaser shall give notice to Forest Service and shall remove bridges and culverts, eliminate ditches, out- slope roadbed, remove ruts and berms, effectively block the road to normal vehicular traffic where feasible under existing terrain conditions, and build cross ditches and water bars, as staked or otherwise marked on the ground by Forest Service. When bridges and culverts are re- moved, associated fills shall also be removed to the ex- tent necessary to permit normal maximum flow of water.
