Third Year Teachers. Teachers in their third year of teaching at LREI, if rehired by the School, will be rehired for a TWO year term. The final decision as to whether or not to rehire a third year teacher shall be made by the Director. Factors to be considered include, but are not necessarily limited to; information contained in the faculty member's personal file; reports of informal and/or formal observations; and written comments submitted by faculty and administrators and material submitted by the faculty member in support of his/her application for reappointment pursuant to Section D of this Article. The decision of the Director shall not be arbitrary or capricious and shall be subject to challenge under Article XIX. On or about February 15, teachers rehired for a two year term shall be given a list of concerns, if any, to be worked on in the up-coming year. This list will be revised, if necessary, prior to the end of the fourth year.

Third Year Teachers. All teachers will develop appropriate goals for every school year. A minimum of three (3) observations shall be required each school year, of which two (2) must be formal observations (formal observations include both a pre and post observation conference). Included in the process is a rating of Excellent, Proficient, Needs Improvement, or Unsatisfactory and a summative evaluation written by the evaluator. Under the law, non-tenured teachers who receive three successive excellent ratings on the annual summative evaluation would be eligible for tenure.

  • New Teachers 15.1 The Board agrees to acquaint new teachers with the fact that this Agreement is in effect and with the deductions provided for in Article 52 of the Teachers’ Provincial Agreement.

  • Non-Tenured Teachers A leave may be granted to a non-tenured teacher by action of the Board of Education, subject to all the conditions applicable to a tenured teacher. However, for a school term to count toward the attainment of tenure, the non-tenured teacher must work at least one hundred twenty (120) full time employment days. A school term that is not counted toward attainment of tenure shall not be considered a break in service for purposes of determining whether the non- tenured teacher has been employed for the period of time necessary to attain tenure, provided that the non-tenured teacher actually teaches or is otherwise present and participating in District 34’s educational program in the following school term. The granting of maternity leave to any non-tenured teacher shall not constitute a precedent for the granting or withholding of leave to any other non-tenured teacher. Each request shall be judged on its own merits and shall be within the sole discretion of the Board. Additional conditions or restrictions may be established for any such leave, provided nothing herein shall be construed as requiring any non-tenured teacher to apply for such leave or accept the conditions established therefore.

  • Mentor Teachers A. A Mentor Teacher shall be defined as a Master Teacher as identified in section 1526 of the School Code and shall perform the duties of a Master Teacher as specified in the code.

  • Multi-Year Planning The CAPS will be in a form acceptable to the Funder and may be required to incorporate:

  • Newly Hired Teachers Newly hired Teachers shall be paid in Category A1 until such time as they provide proof of a different category classification.

  • Multi-year Planning Targets Schedule A may reflect an allocation for the first Funding Year of this Agreement as well as planning targets for up to two additional years, consistent with the term of this Agreement. In such an event, the HSP acknowledges that if it is provided with planning targets, these targets:
