Public Holidays falling within Annual Leave (a) If a Public Holiday, as prescribed in this Agreement, falls within an Employee’s annual leave the Public Holiday does not constitute part of the Employee’s annual leave and will be paid as ordinary hours.
HOLIDAYS AND HOLIDAY PAY 131. A holiday is calculated based on an eight hour day. The following days are designated as holidays: January 1 ( New Year's Day) the third Monday in January (Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx's Birthday) the third Monday in February (President's Day) the last Monday in May (Memorial Day) July 4 (Independence Day) the first Monday in September (Labor Day) the second Monday in October (Columbus Day) November 11 (Veteran's Day) Thanksgiving Day the day after Thanksgiving December 25 (Christmas Day) 132. Provided further, if January 1, July 4, November 11 or December 25 falls on a Sunday, the Monday following is a holiday.
