Training Opportunity During Long Term Leaves. In order to provide 44 current employees with opportunities to expand their skills and abilities, 45 current employees from the same site will be given preference when a 46 long-term Substitute is hired. In such instances, the District will notify 1 SESPA members of the position needing coverage, and current employees 2 will be invited to indicate interest as an internal applicant. The building or 3 department administrator will give serious consideration to all internal 4 applicants prior to finding coverage from outside the district. Should a 5 current employee be selected, s/he will be reassigned to that position for the 6 duration of the Long-term Substitute position.
