Internal Applicants. A Type A or B employee, including those on the layoff list, who applies for and meets the criteria of a vacant position shall be given preference over an outside applicant who has equal or less qualifications to meet the criteria of the position. Type C, Type D, Limited Term or Sessional employees shall not have this preference until they have been hired pursuant to Selection Advisory Committee procedures. Type C, Type D, Limited Term or Sessional employees will be granted this status on successful completion of probation.
Internal Applicants. (a) All applicants who are on the seniority lists and possess the required qualifications or the equivalent education and/or experience shall be entitled to an interview by the Selection Committee.
(b) All applicants who are on the seniority lists and who are called for an interview shall be granted leave of absence with pay and shall have their expenses paid.
(c) An employee who applies for a posted position and is unsuccessful shall, upon request, be notified in writing of the reasons why the employee was unsuccessful. The request shall be made in writing to the Human Resources Department within seven calendar days of the employee being notified of the decision of the Selection Committee.
(d) XX agrees to supply employees at the time of hiring, promotion, or upon request, with a copy of their job descriptions.

(d) The University agrees to supply employees at the time of hiring, promotion or upon request, with a copy of their job descriptions.

Internal Applicants a) In considering internal applicants for a posted vacancy, the Employer shall take into account the qualifications, skill, ability, and experience of the individual as it relates to the specific job for which the selection is being done.
b) Where qualifications, skill, ability, and experience of the candidates are relatively equal with respect to the requirements of the job as described in the job posting, seniority shall be the deciding factor.
c) All employee applicants will be notified in writing whether or not their application was successful. A copy of the successful notification will also be posted on the notice board in the Employer’s premises and will indicate the accumulated seniority of the successful applicant.
d) Seniority shall be measured as of the date of the day of the closing of the posting.
Internal Applicants. A. District employees may apply for any posted district positions.
B. The unit manager/supervisor shall not attempt to discourage an employee or retaliate or coerce an employee for applying for a different district position.
C. Any assignment to a position not requested by an employee will be considered an involuntary transfer. When an involuntary transfer is necessary, the unit manager/supervisor will initiate the transfer process with a written notice to the employee. Any involuntary transfer shall be made as long as the classified employee has been offered an opportunity to discuss the transfer with the OSEA Chapter 71 President or designee, the unit manager/supervisor, and upon request, the Human Resource administrator. The meeting shall be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time between the parties. The meeting will be held as soon as reasonably possible.
Internal Applicants a) Regular Full-Time and Regular Part-Time applicants within the Bargaining Unit who meet the minimum posted requirements will be given first consideration when filling a vacancy. Interviews will be granted to those internal applicants who best meet the minimum posted requirements.
b) Term Full-Time applicants within the Bargaining Unit who meet the minimum posted requirements will be given consideration after all Regular Full-Time and Regular Part-Time applicants have been considered and prior to any external applicants.
c) Among internal applicants for the posted vacancies, the following factors shall be considered: knowledge, relevant education, skill, and the ability to perform in an efficient manner the required duties of the posted position as demonstrated through previous experience and previous work record. When these factors among two (2) or more applicants are considered relatively equal, then seniority shall be the governing factor in making the selection for the position.

Internal Applicants a. Each employee who has completed one year of INDG employment and is not otherwise in a probationary period shall have the right to apply for any posted job in a higher or the same classification and shall be considered by INDG as an applicant for such job. Where no qualified employee with at least one year of INDG employment and not otherwise in a probationary period applies for such job, INDG will accept and consider applications of employees with less than one year of INDG employment or who are otherwise in a probationary period. In the event a successful applicant who still is in probationary status as defined in Section 1 of Article II is selected, the employee shall be deemed to have completed the initial probationary employment period. All applicants shall make application for the job in writing to the Human Resources Office or to the online postings bulletin board.
b. INDG may consider an application for a transfer to a lower-rated job. Such consideration shall be discretionary with INDG. An employee who exercises a successful transfer shall be barred from applying for any other job for a one- year period.
c. An unsuccessful job applicant shall receive written notice from INDG of their non-selection.
d. Successful internal job applicants shall be deemed to be in a probationary status for a period not to exceed three (3) months, and shall be so notified at the time of commencing their new employment. If within the three (3)- month period INDG determines that the employee is not able to perform the required job duties, the employee shall be returned without prejudice to the employee’s former job, if available, or a comparable job in the same classification.
e. When an opening has been filled pursuant to the foregoing provisions, INDG shall advise the Unit Chairperson of the name, salary, and classification of the person selected.
f. INDG may consider filling junior level or trainee positions during the term of this agreement. Such positions will normally be one grade lower than that of the usual entry grade level position. INDG will determine the minimum qualifications for these positions. The trainee shall be promoted when INDG determines, in its discretion, that the trainee satisfies the stated criteria for the next higher grade level position. INDG will notify the Guild of the names of new junior level and trainee hires in accordance with Article VII, Section 1.
