Transfer of Assignments. 24 Transfer of assignment is the movement of an employee (voluntarily or involuntarily) 25 from an assignment at one District site (established by “location code”) to a vacant 26 position at another site (a different location code) within the District. When filling 27 vacancies by transfer (voluntarily or involuntarily), the District will consider federal and 28 state highly qualified teacher requirements, program needs, experience, academic 29 preparation, and seniority. Staff members who are currently employed by the District 30 will be given first consideration for full-time or part-time positions for which they qualify 31 by training or experience and may be considered for extra duty contracts.
