Regular Runs Sample Clauses

Regular Runs. The District shall, on or before June 1 of each year, notify each bus driver, in writing by individual letters, as to the date, time, and place for bidding for regular assignments that school year. If such notice is mailed, it shall be sent to the employee’s most current address on file. Regular runs shall be selected by drivers, or drivers’ designees, in accordance with seniority prior to the beginning of each school year. A Union representative shall be afforded an opportunity to be present in the room during the bidding. Such regular runs shall end on the last day of school each year, except for out-of-District runs, activity runs, and other special runs which operate on a different calendar. Regular runs shall be established to provide the most hours in the shortest workday as is feasible. Regular runs will be initially selected based on estimated inclusive times. No changes shall be made during the first ten (10) workdays of each school year, except as required in order to cover unexpected variations. Thereafter, changes shall be made in accordance with seniority whenever a change of driving time of thirty (30) minutes or more per day occurs. In the event an adjustment is in order, the employee affected shall be so notified immediately. Such required changes shall take effect within five (5) workdays. It is agreed that regular runs which occur during the summer shall be posted for bid during the last two (2) weeks of school, provided they are known at that time. All new or open runs which become known subsequent to the regular run bidding, including summer bus runs, shall be posted no less than five (5) workdays. All new or open runs shall be posted within five (5) days of their creation or vacancy. Interested drivers shall sign up for the run, and the run shall be awarded to the senior eligible driver of those who signed up. 9.6.1 Regular runs shall consist of a.m. and p.m. runs. Kindergarten and activity routes known prior to bidding may be included in regular runs. 9.6.2 Mid-day runs, such as kindergarten routes known prior to bidding, may be bid by employees in the order their seniority permits. Once the combination of a.m., mid-day, and p.m. runs is established through the bidding process, it will be considered a package for the remainder of the year. Should the package come open during the year, it will be made available as a package to the most senior driver requesting it. Regular Runs. Runs with less than a thirty (30) minute break time shall be paid straight through and this total time shall be used in the computation of overtime.
Regular Runs. Regular runs are all daily home-to-school and school-to-home runs, including home-to-school and school-to-home runs which requires driving outside the school district boundaries.

Within runs in excess of 12 hours, drivers will be guaranteed a minimum of seven (7) hours bidded time. 10.5.3 All regular split runs shall be so scheduled as to make the daily hours as uniform as practicable. 10.5.4 From time to time the School District may have some program time changes. These changes affect the operation of bus routes and time that Bus Operators and Relief Bus Operators report or leave work. These changes may cause certain individuals to have to change their bid/assigned hours. When this happens, and it becomes necessary to change the morning starting time or the afternoon ending time or the route bid/assigned, efforts will be made to determine an acceptable solution to the assignment. However, if there is no solution, Management reserves the right to change these times. In the event of a hardship the employee will be given a two week notice before a change to their schedule is implemented. If the individual cannot work through their hardship within the two weeks, that individual will be allowed to look at the open, assignable routes. If there is an open, assignable route acceptable to the individual, they may be assigned that route. 10.5.5 Scheduled leaving time from terminal to scheduled returning time to terminal shall constitute each assignment. 10.5.6 Hourly time shall be calculated to the nearest one-quarter (1/4) hour. 10.5.7 When additional terminal facilities are opened in other sections of the District, the present seniority lists and practices will prevail.

Regular RunsAll employees when operating regular runs on days other than Sundays and holidays shall receive not less than eight (8) hours' pay, which shall include platform time, travel time, report-time allowance and all other allowances, such as paid "breaks" of sixty
Regular Runs. A. Bus runs, which are scheduled, on a day-to-day and/or week-to-week basis shall be defined as a "regular run." Regular runs will be a minimum of four (4) hours per day for a double bus run. B. Bus Drivers shall not be required to wash the outside of the bus, except windows and lights. Bus drivers will only be required to add fluid to busses if the mechanic is unavailable to do so. C. Bus drivers will be on the job for pre-start inspection fifteen (l5) minutes prior to each run. Said fifteen (l5) minutes shall be reimbursed as part of the minimum regular run. The prestart inspection (15 minutes) must be completed while the driver is on the clock. D. The daily hours for each a.m., p.m. kindergarten and special trip shall be measured to the nearest fifteen-minute segment. The minimum pay for kindergarten runs shall be one hour. The Transportation Supervisor shall approve all routes and trip times by October l5th. E. All shuttles will be paid for actual time driven over the base route. F. The Administration may schedule aides to provide assistance to bus drivers on kindergarten runs. Drivers without kindergarten runs will be considered first, and the rate of pay shall be at the appropriate aide rate. Nothing herein shall preclude the Administration from using central office staff to provide assistance.
Regular Runs. Definition a. A regular bus run is defined as a bus run that occurs on a daily basis throughout the school year or a portion of the school year.
Regular Runs. 1. If a run is canceled and the driver reports for work, because he/she has not been informed of the cancellation, the driver shall be compensated for one hour of work. 2. If a replacement driver is needed for a fifth hour run, priority will be given to a regular four-hour driver, for that run, if available. 3. Anything less than five working days shall be rotated among four-hour drivers on the basis of low hours; such hours will be logged. Whenever a regular driver with a fifth hour is absent for an extended period of time, (extended period of time is defined as over five working days), four-hour drivers shall be afforded an opportunity to perform that fifth hour job, on the basis of seniority. Such hours will be logged. (The dispatcher shall assign such runs.) 4. The mail run which is one-half hour extra pay shall be considered part of a driver's regular run.
