Treatment Philosophy. Emphasis shall be on enhancing recovery using evidenced-based treatment models specific to SUDs and the correctional population. The primary goal of effective treatment is to address an offender’s risk, need, and responsivity using evidence-based programs adhered to with fidelity. The Contractor shall not use therapeutic community treatment models. Contractor should make all reasonable attempts to provide three separate treatment tracks (low risk, moderate/medium risk, and high risk) for offenders. Contractor staff and State staff shall maintain open and consistent communication regarding all aspects of an offender’s participation in the program. State staff should be kept abreast of offender progress, or lack thereof, in the program on a regular and continuing basis.

Treatment Philosophy. During the initial evaluation period, you and your provider will clarify together the nature of the problems for which you are seeking treatment, define some reasonable treatment goals, and develop a treatment plan that will help you achieve those goals. You are expected to be compliant with the agreed upon treatment plan between sessions and keep your appointments. Research has shown that, often times, brief, time limited therapy focusing on specific goals results in more rapid reduction of symptoms and improvement in patient functioning. The treatment plan may include attending support groups, reading selected materials, and/or completing specific written or verbal assignments.

My approach is experiential and tailored to each individual’s interests and strengths. Cancellation and missed appointment policy: Since scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time specifically for you, a minimum of 24 hours advance notice is required for re-scheduling or canceling an appointment. If an appointment if missed or canceled in less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be billed according to the scheduled fee and instructions of the benefit plan. Repeated “no-show” appointments could result in termination of treatment and referral back to your insurance or managed care for reassignment to another practitioner.
