Truth and Reconciliation. The parties agree to collaborate in finding constructive ways of implementing the Calls to Action outlined by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, June 2015 that are relevant to health and healthcare, including improving cultural competencies, improving health outcomes, supporting culturally appropriate healthcare services, and increasing the number of Indigenous Employees in the health care system.

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission may refer to the NAC for determination of disputes involving document production, document disposal and archiving, contents of the Commission's Report and Recommendations and Commission decisions regarding the scope of its research and issues to be examined. The Commission shall make best efforts to resolve the matter itself before referring it to the NAC.

(3) Where the NAC makes a decision in respect of a dispute or disagreement that arises in respect of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission as contemplated in Section 7.01(2), either or both the Church Organization and Canada may apply to any one of the Courts for a hearing de novo.

21.2 Both parties have agreed that there be a comprehensive process of truth and reconciliation which aims, among other things, to:
21.2.1 Guarantee favourable conditions for peaceful societal reconciliation between components of society;
21.2.2 Rebuild and strengthen relationships between components of society as well as encourage coexistence, cooperation and social solidarity in Darfur;
21.2.3 Oppose tribal and regional polarisation and prevent fighting ethnically-motivated fighting between tribes;
21.2.4 Instil a culture of peace in keeping with traditional cultural values and heritage;
21.2.5 Offer official and unofficial, individual and collective apologies to victims of the war.
Truth and Reconciliation. 21.1 The two parties agree that promoting reconciliation in Darfur is one of the ultimate objectives of the agreement. This is to be achieved by addressing the root causes of the conflicts and strengthening measures to reduce them, supporting mechanisms and operations aimed at facilitating reconciliation and rebuilding social harmony. Both parties are aware that the marginalization of the people of Darfur is one of the main reasons for these conflicts.
21.2 Both parties agree to implement a comprehensive truth and reconciliation process that has, among other things, the following objectives:
21.2.1 Create the conditions for social and peaceful reconciliation between the different components of society;
21.2.2 Rebuild and consolidate relations between the components of society and strengthen cohabitation, collaboration and social cohesion in Darfur.
21.2.3 Fight against tribal and regional polarization and prevent tribal clashes that have ethnic reasons and motivations.
21.2.4 Establish a culture of peace in accordance with traditional cultural values and heritage.
21.2.5 Make formal and informal, individual and collective apologies to the victims of the war.

The Parties agree that promoting reconciliation among the peoples of Darfur represents one of the overarching objectives of this Agreement and that is to be achieved by addressing the root causes of the conflicts, promoting measures to alleviate these causes, and supporting mechanisms and processes that will facilitate forgiveness and the reestablishment of social harmony. The Parties further recognize that the marginalization of the people of Darfur is one of the key root causes of conflict that this Agreement seeks to address.
21.2. The Parties agree that there should be a comprehensive truth and reconciliation process aimed at, among other things:
21.2.1. Ensuring the provision of appropriate conditions for social and peaceful reconciliation among components of the society.
21.2.2. Rebuilding and strengthening relationships between the components of society as well as promoting coexistence, cooperation, and social solidarity in Darfur.
21.2.3. Eradicating tribal and regional polarization and preventing ethnically-motivated fighting among tribes.
