Common use of Uniforms, Work Clothes, Work Equipment and Articles Clause in Contracts

Uniforms, Work Clothes, Work Equipment and Articles. A. The County agrees to supply all protective clothing, protective equipment and protective supplies determined by management to be necessary for the employee to perform his/her job. This Section is not designed to reduce or increase any current benefits as to issuance of uniforms and work clothes or other work equipment now supplied by the County. Upon request, management agrees to discuss with the Union, specific clothing needs where such tasks may result in unforeseen damage to clothing which is normal business attire for the classification. Unresolved issues may be submitted by the Union to the Joint Employee Safety Committee and, if still unresolved, submitted to the grievance procedure.
