Common use of Union Conferences and Conventions Clause in Contracts

Union Conferences and Conventions. An Employee elected or named by the Union to attend education sessions or to exercise other Union business, will be given, for this purpose, a leave of absence without pay for the required time. Such delegates cannot include more than (3) Employees, not more than two employees at a time an only one of which may be a Xxxxx operator. The accumulated leave, excluding negotiations, will not exceed 20 working days per year per person and no single leave will be longer than two (2) weeks. Successful applicants to the Labour College of Canada will be granted the necessary time off. Leave of absence requests and answers will be handled in a timely manner.
