JURY OR SUBPOENAED WITNESS DUTY. 18:01 An employee who is called for jury service or subpoenaed for witness duty, except in arbitration’s or matters pertaining to the Labour Relations Act, shall be excused from work for any day on which he reports for such jury or witness duty and shall receive for each such day on which he otherwise would have worked, the difference between pay lost computed at the employee's regular hourly rate for eight (8) hours per day, exclusive of overtime and other forms of premium pay, and the payment he receives for such jury or witness duty. Any employee working a fixed or a rotating shift will not be required to report for work on the day or days he is called for such jury or witness duty. The day paid for such jury or witness duty shall be counted as eight (8) hours worked for the purpose of computing overtime. Employees who do not provide written notice to the Company as soon as possible of their obligation to report for such jury or witness duty and employees who do not provide necessary evidence of their jury service or subpoenaed witness duty required to adjust their pay, will not receive the compensation for such jury or witness duty as provided herein.

JURY OR SUBPOENAED WITNESS DUTY. The Company shall grant leave of Absence without loss of seniority to an employee who serves as a Juror or Subpoenaed Witness in any Court. In any matter to which the Company has no detrimental interest, the company shall pay such employee the difference between his normal earnings and the payment he received for jury service or subpoenaed witness excluding payment for travelling, meals or other expenses. The employee will present proof of service and attendance and the amount of pay and expenses received. Section Public Office Leave of absence without pay, up to a maximum of three (3) months, may be granted at the discretion of Management for the following reasons:

JURY OR SUBPOENAED WITNESS DUTY. 11:08 A seniority employee who has been summoned and reports for jury duty or as a subpoenaed witness, as prescribed by applicable law, shall be granted their shift off and shall be paid the difference between the witness pay (not including travel allowances and reimbursements for expenses), and the wages he would have earned by working (base rate, C.O.L.A. and shift premium) on that day. This clause will also apply to employees who are working afternoons or night shifts who have to report during non-scheduled working hours and weekend workers if required to perform jury duty on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. In order to receive payment, an employee will notify the Company upon receipt of the notice of jury duty or subpoenae and must furnish satisfactory evidence that he reported for or performed jury duty, or appeared as a subpoenaed witness on the days for which he claims such payment.   • Subpoenaed Witness For each day that the employee is compensated by the Crown, the employee shall be compensated by the Employer at $50.00 per day and by the Union at $50.00 per day up to a maximum of 4 calendar weeks or 20 working days.
