Unpaid Family Leave. K. Employees may take up to twelve (12) weeks of unpaid family leave with benefits during any twelve- (12) month period. Employees may exercise their rights to leave either for reasons of the birth of a child of the employee; placement of a child with an employee for adoption or xxxxxx care; to care for the employee's child, parent, or spouse who has a serious health condition; or because of a serious health condition of the employee that prevents the employee from working.
