Common use of Unpaid Leave Requests Clause in Contracts

Unpaid Leave Requests. Unpaid leave may be granted for personal reasons including, but not limited to, health, family-related issues (not to be confused with family leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993), study, travel, public service, or exchange programs. Leave shall be granted for military reasons. A unit member shall make written request for unpaid leave through the principal to a Human Resources administrator at least 30 calendar days prior to commencement of leave except in case of emergency.
