Vacancy Posting Procedures. During the regular school year, vacancies shall be posted internally and externally simultaneously for at least seven (7) calendar days before a vacancy is filled. Vacancies shall be posted in each building and a copy of the posting shall be sent to the Association president. During the summer months when regular school is not in session, vacancies shall be posted internally and externally simultaneously for at least ten (10) calendar days before a vacancy is filled. A shorter term may be mutually agreed upon between the Association and the Board. During the summer months when regular school is not in session, the Employer will post in the superintendent’s office all vacancies as above described and shall also forward a copy to the Association. The Board may fill vacancies on a temporary basis during the posting period. Employees who are interested in the vacancy are to submit a letter of application to the superintendent. The employee will interview with the appropriate administrator, and a decision regarding the transfer will be made prior to interviews with any external candidates. The right of determination to assign or transfer a teacher is vested with the Board. The length of any external vacancy postings shall be determined by the Board. Vacancies need not be posted at the discretion of the Board in the following circumstances:

If the test result is negative the Employer will reimburse the employee for the cost of the split sample test.

You do not need to submit the information a second time under assistance awards that you received if you already provided the information through XXX because you were required to do so under Federal procurement contracts that you were awarded.
