External Candidates. Where the Committee recommends an external candidate and the Employer agrees that an external Appointment is possible, the Employer shall place the curriculum vitae of the recommended candidate, the evidence of previous performance in Teaching, Research and Service provided by the recommended candidate, and any letters of reference for the recommended candidate used by the Committee, before the appropriate Promotion and Tenure Committee.
External Candidates. Selection Advisory Committees recommending the appointment of an external candidate as Xxxx/Associate Xxxx will ensure that such recommended external candidate meets the criteria for selection for a regular faculty position as well as the criteria for selection for a Xxxx/Associate Xxxx position.
External Candidates. Where the competing internal candidates are considered relatively equal, but none enjoy a Right of First Refusal, the candidate with the most academic sessions of bargaining unit experience in positions of at least the same or higher level shall be appointed.
External Candidates. The Employer will not consider external candidates until present employees have had a full opportunity to apply as provided in Article 12.01. Internal candidates will have preference over external candidates as outlined in Article 12.04.
External Candidates. No external candidates shall be selected to fill a vacancy if there is a Unit Member applicant of equal qualifications.
External Candidates. The Service will only advertise for external candidates should there be no applications made by internal candidates to the posted position or if, subject to the selection process, there were no eligible internal candidates. Any external candidates applying must have held the appropriate rank with a Police Service, provided they were a member of an Ontario municipal or provincial police service or the RCMP, and would be required to apply for, and meet the requirements of the position, as set out in article 21 with the exception of 21.4(a) ii, 21.4(b)i and 21.4(c)i.
External Candidates. 1. Where the hiring of an external candidate will not result in the loss of employment of, and/or prevent the recall of, certified licensed personnel, who are presently employed within the district and/or who are on the district’s recall list, external candidates may be considered to fill the vacancy, new position and/or promotional opportunity at issue. Nothing contained in this paragraph shall be deemed to extend a right of recall to certified licensed personnel who have been terminated and/or non-renewed for performance based cause.
2. In any circumstance where certified licensed personnel are recalled to a position that is different from that which they last held and/or are recalled to an area of certification that is different from that required for the position that they last held, the building principal may require the recalled certified licensed personnel to complete up to fifteen (15) hours of professional development, which shall be provided by and/or subject to the approval of the building principal.
External Candidates. When the internal promotional process does not yield a candidate qualified for promotion, Management reserves the right to seek external candidates in order to fill a Battalion Chief vacancy. External applicants must also successfully complete the Pre-employment Agility Test and all other applicable pre-employment processes.
External Candidates. If the Employer is unable to transfer a nurse to a vacant position pursuant to this section due to patient care considerations or departmental needs, the position may be filled on a temporary basis and the nurse will be advised as to when the transfer will occur. The Employer will use its best efforts to complete the transfer as soon as conditions allow. If the transfer does not occur within ninety (90) days, the nurse will receive regular communication about the status of the transfer. For defined Units/Clinical areas see Addendum G.
6.6.1 If an applicant is selected for a position, the nurse will not be eligible to apply for another position in another department for at least (6) months after assuming the new position, unless requested or approved by the Employer.
External Candidates i. All supervisors hired from outside the Hospital shall serve a one-hundred and eighty (180) calendar day probationary periodfollowing their initial date of hire. University Hospital reserves the right to extend the initial probationary period for up to an additional thirty (30) days.Time spent on an authorized leave shall not count towards the probationary period.
ii. Prior to the start of the probationary period, an employee will be provided with the job description and the department will meet with the employee to review the job expectations of his/her position. The employee will receive feedback on his/her performance after thirty (30) and sixty (60) days and if the probationary period is extended, after thirty (30) and sixty (60) days during the extended period.
iii. Employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period. Such decision shall be final and binding, and not subject to the grievance procedure.
iv. Probationary supervisors may use accrued sick leave after thirty (30) calendar days of employment, although New Jersey Earned Sick Leave Act only allows employees employed after October 29, 2018 to use such time one hundred and twenty (120) days after beginning employment, and accruedvacations, holidays and float holidays after ninety (90) calendar days of employment.
