Vacation Carry Over. (a) A regular employee may carry over up to five (5) days vacation leave per year except that such vacation carryover shall not exceed ten (10) days at any time. An employee shall not receive pay in lieu of vacation time, except upon retirement or termination. All vacation time not requested for scheduling or carryover by three (3) months prior to the end of the vacation year will be scheduled by the Employer following consultation with the employee. (b) A single vacation period, which overlaps the end of a vacation year, shall be considered as vacation for the vacation year in which it commenced. The portion of vacation taken subsequent to but adjoining the end of the vacation year shall not be considered as vacation carryover, nor as a seniority choice for the subsequent vacation year. (c) Vacation time shall not be cumulative from calendar year to calendar year for employees whose vacation entitlement is equal to or greater than the vacation entitlement set out in the Health Services and Support - Facilities Subsector Collective Agreement.
