Pregnancy and Parental Leave (a) Pregnancy/Parenting leave will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act, except where amended in this provision. (b) If possible the employee shall give written notification at least one (1) month in advance of the date of commencement of such leave and the expected date of return. (c) The employee shall reconfirm her intention to return to work on the date originally approved in subsection (b) above by written notification received by the Employer at least four (4) weeks in advance thereof. The employee shall be reinstated to her former position, unless the position has been discontinued in which case she shall be given a comparable job. (d) An employee who is on pregnancy leave as provided under this Agreement, who has completed five (5) months of continuous service and has applied for and is in receipt of Employment Insurance pregnancy/ parental benefits pursuant to the Employment Insurance Act shall be paid a supplemental employment benefit. That benefit will be equivalent to the difference between seventy-five percent (75%) of her regular weekly earnings (which for part-time employees shall include percentage-in-lieu) and the sum of her weekly Employment Insurance benefits and any other earnings. Such payment shall commence following receipt by the Employer of the employee's Employment Insurance cheque stub as proof that she is in receipt of Employment Insurance pregnancy/ parenting benefits, and shall continue while the employee is in receipt of such benefits for a maximum period of seventeen (17) weeks. The employee will endeavour to provide a copy of the Employment Insurance cheque stub within two (2) weeks of receipt of the employee’s EI benefit. The employee's regular weekly earnings shall be determined by multiplying her regular hourly rate on her last day worked prior to the commencement of the leave times her normal weekly hours. Vacation and Other Leave During the Period of Employment, the Executive shall accrue and be entitled to take paid vacation in accordance with the Company’s vacation policies in effect from time to time, including the Company’s policies regarding vacation accruals; provided that the Executive’s rate of vacation accrual during the Period of Employment shall be no less than three (3) weeks per year. The Executive shall also be entitled to all other holiday and leave pay generally available to other executives of the Company.
Unpaid Parental Leave (a) An employee is entitled to a period of up to 52 weeks unpaid parental leave in respect of the: (i) birth of a child to the employee or employee’s partner; or (ii) adoption of a child who is not the natural child or step child of the employee or employee’s partner; is under the age of sixteen; and has not lived continuously with the employee for six months or longer.
Parental leave and other entitlements An employee may in lieu of or in conjunction with parental leave, access any annual leave or long service leave entitlements which they have accrued subject to the total amount of leave not exceeding 52 weeks.
Vacations and Sick Leave The Executive shall be entitled to paid annual vacation leave in accordance with the policies as established from time to time by the Board of Directors, which shall in no event be less than four weeks per annum. The Executive shall also be entitled to an annual sick leave benefit as established by the Board for senior management employees of the Bank. The Executive shall not be entitled to receive any additional compensation from the Bank for failure to take a vacation or sick leave, nor shall he be able to accumulate unused vacation or sick leave from one year to the next; provided, however, such Executive may carry forward from year to year a maximum of ten days of unused vacation leave.
Vacation and Sick Leave During the Term, Executive shall be entitled to (a) sick leave in accordance with the Company’s policies applicable to similarly situated executive officers of the Company from time to time and (b) 4 weeks paid vacation each calendar year (up to 40 hours of which may be carried forward to a succeeding year).
Paid Parental Leave Employees who meet the eligibility requirements of the Seattle Municipal Code Chapter 4.27, “Paid Parental Leave,” may take leave for bonding with their new child.
Parenting Leave Parenting Leave consists of Maternity Leave and Parental Leave. Parental Leave includes Paternity and Adoption Leave.
Vacation and Other Benefits Each Contract Year, Executive shall be entitled to four (4) weeks of paid vacation in accordance with Employer’s applicable policies and procedures for executive-level employees. Executive shall also be eligible to participate in and receive the fringe benefits generally made available to other executive-level employees of Employer in accordance with and to the extent that Executive is eligible under the general provisions of Employer’s fringe benefit plans or programs; provided, however, that Executive understands that these benefits may be increased, changed, eliminated or added from time to time during the Term as determined in Employer’s sole and absolute discretion.
Maternity Adoption and Parental Leave For the purposes of granting Maternity, Adoption and Parental Leave, the provisions of the Canada Labour Code and of its Regulations shall apply.
