Vacation Pro-ration. Absence Employees who have been absent without pay for any reason, except for pregnancy leave, parental leave/adoption leave, jury duty or union leave for more than forty-five (45) working days shall receive a pro-rata reduction in their vacation pay entitlement.

Vacation Pro-ration. An employee who works less than seventeen hundred (1,700) hours but more than one thousand (1,000) hours within the year preceding his/her anniversary date shall be entitled to vacation and vacation pay in accordance with the above schedule but prorated by a fraction, the nominator of which shall be the hours worked in the year preceding vacation eligibility, and the denominator of which shall be two thousand eighty (2,080).

  • Vacation Period ‌ The choice of vacation periods shall be granted to employees on the basis of seniority with the Employer except where the period requested would be detrimental to the operation of the Employer.

  • Vacation Selection Beginning January 2 of each calendar year, employees will be scheduled a time, based on seniority, to select up to three (3) segments of available vacation leave during the time period of April 1 through March 31. A “segment” is one (1) or more contiguous days of vacation leave. No segment shall include more than ten (10) consecutive days of vacation leave in June, July, and/or August, provided that an employee may select contiguous segments of vacation leave. Each employee will be guaranteed one (1) scheduled workweek of vacation leave if requested as one of their segments. Off-shift times to select a vacation will not be considered as “time worked” for purposes of computing callback or overtime. If an employee is unable to be present during their scheduled time they may make their choice by telephone, email, or another individual with written documentation of designation, may select a vacation segment(s) for the employee. If the employee fails to select their vacation during their assigned time, the Employer may proceed with scheduling. The employee will be provided an opportunity to select their segment(s) at a later date when they are available. The Employer will publish the vacation schedule by March 1, after considering requests, as well as Agency program needs. Employees will complete a Leave Request Form no less than thirty (30) days prior to any approved vacation segment taken.

  • Vacation Buy Back Employees shall have the option of requesting pay in lieu of time off up to a maximum of 144 hours of vacation time each year, during each year of the contract in increments of eight (8) hrs. Such requests are subject to the approval of the department head and the availability of funds.

  • Vacation During the Employment Period, the Executive shall be entitled to paid vacation in accordance with the most favorable plans, policies, programs and practices of the Company and its affiliated companies as in effect for the Executive at any time during the 120-day period immediately preceding the Effective Date or, if more favorable to the Executive, as in effect generally at any time thereafter with respect to other peer executives of the Company and its affiliated companies.

  • Vacation Payout Where an employee requests in writing to have a specific number of vacation days paid out, and the Employer agrees to the request, the Employer will issue pay in lieu of vacation.   • Vacation Credit Any outstanding vacation entitlement for a person going on LTD will be paid in cash upon expiry of sick leave. No vacation entitlement, floating holidays, or banked time for 40-hour per week employees accrues while a member is in receipt of LTD benefits.

  • Prime Time Vacation Period Subject to the provisions of this article, it is the intent of the parties that no employee will be restricted in the time of year they choose to take their vacation. The Employer will make every effort to allow employees to take their vacation during the period of April 15th to October 15th inclusive, which will be defined as the prime time vacation period.

  • Vacation Periods Vacation schedules will be set by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s) and sent to the Office of Human Resources for approval. Employees may request a particular period for vacation. Vacation days may not be taken in advance of their accrual. Those employees who are on a 12-month teacher contract are paid during Spring Break and Winter Recess, however, are not expected to be in attendance or perform duties during those breaks.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.
