Vacation Selection Policy. III.C.4.a. The intent of this policy is to establish a fair method of selecting vacations which will not weaken the City's fire defenses to an intolerable level. The Fire Chief may, at his sole discretion, decrease or eliminate vacation usage when, in the Fire Chief's opinion, any emergency situation exists which in the interest of public safety requires greater levels of staffing.
Vacation Selection Policy. Vacation selection shall be at the mutual agreement of the unit members, with seniority in rank prevailing in the selection process. Any conflicts will be resolved by the Fire Chief.
