Vehicle Purchases. [Subsection Used For Vehicle Projects Only]
Vehicle Purchases. If the Grantee is authorized to purchase a vehicle necessary to complete the work under this Agreement, the cost of such vehicle shall not exceed the total authorized in Attachment 3, for use in performing the services described in Attachment 3. The vehicle type proposed for the purchase being authorized by the Department shall be described in Attachment 3. The Grantee shall purchase the vehicle(s) utilizing the Grantee’s procurement procedures. If eligible, the Grantee should consider the Department of Management Services, State Term Contract(s), when purchasing a vehicle. Upon satisfactory completion of this Agreement, the Grantee may retain ownership of the vehicle purchased under this Agreement. However, the Grantee is required to account for and report on any vehicle purchased under this Agreement in accordance with the Grantee’s financial reporting and inventory control requirements. The Grantee will submit Exhibit B, Property Reporting Form, along with the appropriate invoice(s) to the Department’s Grant Manager with any applicable requests for reimbursement. Vehicle(s) purchased for the Project are subject to the requirements set forth in Chapters 273 and/or 274, F.S., and Chapter 69I-72 and/or Chapter 69I-73, F.A.C., as applicable, and should be capitalized, when appropriate, in accordance with GAAP and the Grantee’s financial reporting requirements. The following terms shall apply:
Vehicle Purchases. If you are required or elect to purchase a Vehicle under this Agreement, the purchase price will be an amount equal to its Schedule A Value plus any sales or use taxes. On the purchase date, you will also pay Ryder any outstanding charges you owe. Your payment will be in cash or by certified cashier's check. Each Vehicle will be purchased "as is, where is" without any warranties. If you fail to purchase a Vehicle when required to do so, you will pay to Ryder the difference between the Vehicle's Schedule A Value and its wholesale value as of the date you were required to purchase the Vehicle.

Vehicle Purchases. The DEPARTMENT or CONTRACTOR may purchase vehicles for the Project, using vehicle specifications approved by the DEPARTMENT for the purchase of new vehicles. These vehicles are to include buses, mini-buses, vans and other small vehicles in accordance with the CONTRACTOR’S approved application. All purchases are subject to prior approval of the DEPARTMENT, and must be in accordance with State purchasing laws and approved by the State Bureau of Purchasing. Vehicles purchased by the CONTRACTOR must be approved in writing in advance by the Executive Director of the DEPARTMENT.
