Vehicle type. 3.1.1. The application for approval of a vehicle type with regard to the installation of its safety-belts and restraint systems shall be submitted by the vehicle manufacturer or by his duly accredited representative.
3.1.2. It shall be accompanied by the under mentioned documents in triplicate and the following particulars:
3.1.2.1. Drawings of the general vehicle structure on an appropriate scale, showing the positions of the safety-belts, and detailed drawings of the safety-belts and of the points to which they are attached;
3.1.2.2. A specification of the materials used which may affect the strength of the safety-belts;
3.1.2.3. A technical description of the safety-belts;
3.1.2.4. In the case of safety-belts affixed to the seat structure;
3.1.2.5. Detailed description of the vehicle type with regard to the design of the seats, of the seat anchorages and their adjustment and locking systems;
3.1.2.6. Drawings, on an appropriate scale and in sufficient detail, of the seats, of their anchorages to the vehicle, and of their adjustment and locking systems.
3.1.3. At the opinion of the manufacturer, a vehicle representative of the vehicle type to be approved or the parts of the vehicle considered essential for the safety-belt tests by the Technical Service conducting approval tests shall be submitted to the Service.
Vehicle type. 5.2.1. If the vehicle submitted for approval pursuant this Regulation meets the requirements of paragraph 8. below, and of Annexes 15 and 16 to this Regulation, approval of that vehicle type shall be granted.
5.2.2. An approval number shall be assigned to each type approved. Its first two digits (at present 07 corresponding to the 07 series of amendments) shall indicate the series of amendments incorporating the most recent major technical amendments made to this Regulation at the time of issue of the approval. The same Contracting Party shall not assign the same number to another vehicle type as defined in paragraph 2.16. above.
5.2.3. Notice of approval or of extension or refusal or withdrawal of approval or production definitively discontinued of a vehicle type pursuant to this Regulation shall be communicated to the Parties to the 1958 Agreement which apply this Regulation by means of a form conforming to the model in Annex 1A to this Regulation.
5.2.4. There shall be affixed, conspicuously and in a readily accessible place specified on the approval form, to every vehicle conforming to a vehicle type approved under this Regulation an international approval xxxx consisting of:
5.2.4.1. A circle surrounding the letter "E" followed by the distinguishing number of the country which has granted approval;3
5.2.4.2. The number of this Regulation, followed by the letter R, a dash and the approval number to the right of the circle prescribed in paragraph 5.2.4.1. above.
5.2.5. If the vehicle conforms to a vehicle type approved, under one or more other Regulations annexed to the Agreement, in the country which has granted approval under this Regulation, the symbol prescribed in paragraph 5.
2.4.1. need not be repeated; in such a case the additional numbers and symbols of all the Regulations under which approval has been granted in the country which has granted approval under this Regulation shall be placed in vertical columns to the right of the symbol prescribed in paragraph 5.2.4.1. above.
5.2.6. The approval xxxx shall be clearly legible and be indelible.
5.2.7. The approval xxxx shall be placed close to or on the vehicle data plate affixed by the manufacturer.
Vehicle type. The test shall be repeated if the windscreen is to be fitted to a vehicle of a type in which the forward field of vision differs from that of the vehicle type for which the windscreen has already been approved.
Vehicle type. Light Rigid Vehicle (Trucks from 4.5 to 13.9 tonnes Gross Vehicle Mass) Heavy Rigid Vehicle (Trucks exceeding 13.9 tonnes Gross Vehicle Mass) Articulated Vehicle (Linehaul, wharf work and heavy rigid/dog trailer combinations) Road Train (B Double combinations)
Vehicle type. The type of vehicle used on the route. This includes cars, vans, cubes, 3 tons, 5 tons, and larger.
Vehicle type. 4.2.1. If the vehicle submitted for approval pursuant to this Regulation meets the requirements of paragraphs 5. and 6. below and Annexes 4, 5 and 6 to this Regulation, approval of that vehicle type shall be granted.
4.2.2. An approval number shall be assigned to each type approved. 4.2.3. Notice of approval or of extension or refusal of approval of a vehicle type pursuant to this Regulation shall be communicated to the Parties to the Agreement applying this Regulation, by means of a form conforming to the model in Annex 1A to this Regulation.

2.4.1. need not be repeated; in such a case the Regulation and approval numbers and the additional symbols of all the Regulations under which approval has been granted in the country which has granted approval under this Regulation shall be placed in vertical columns to the right of the symbol prescribed in paragraph 4.2.4.1.
4.2.6. The approval xxxx shall be clearly legible and be indelible.
4.2.7. The approval xxxx shall be placed close to or on the vehicle data plate affixed by the manufacturer.
Vehicle type. A. IF YOUR VEHICLE HAD BEEN DECLARED A TOTAL LOSS, SALVAGED TITLE OR JUNK VEHICLE.
B. IF YOUR VEHICLE IS A TRUCK RATED MORE THAN 1 TON.
C. IF YOUR VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED AS A NON-U.S. SPECIFICATION MODEL.
D. IF YOUR VEHICLE IS POWERED BY COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS, LIQUIFIED NATURAL GAS, PROPANE OR HYDROGEN.

Vehicle type. 3.1.1. The application for approval of a vehicle type with regard to the protection of the driver against the steering mechanism in the event of impact shall be submitted by the vehicle manufacturer or by his duly accredited representative.
3.1.2. It shall be accompanied by the undermentioned documents in triplicate and the following particulars:
3.1.2.1. A detailed description of the vehicle type with respect to the structure, dimensions, lines and constituent materials of that part of the vehicle forward of the steering control;
3.1.2.2. Drawings, on an appropriate scale and in sufficient detail, of the steering mechanism and of its attachment to the vehicle chassis and body;
3.1.2.3. A technical description of that mechanism;
3.1.2.4. An indication of the mass of the vehicle in running order;
3.1.2.5. Evidence that the steering control has been approved in accordance with paragraph 5.2 of the Regulation, if applicable.
3.1.2.6. Evidence that the steering mechanism complies with the specifications of paragraph 5.2.2. of Regulation No. 94 if the application for approval is submitted by the applicant pursuant paragraph 5.1.2. below.
3.1.2.7. Evidence that the steering control complies with the specifications of paragraphs 5.2.1.4. and 5.2.1.5. of Regulation No. 94 if the application for approval is submitted by the applicant pursuant paragraph 5.2.1. below.
3.1.2.8. A general description of the electrical power source type, location and the electrical power train (e.g. hybrid, electric).
3.1.3. The following shall be submitted to the Technical Service responsible for conducting approval tests:
3.1.3.1. A vehicle, representative of the vehicle type to be approved, for the test referred to in paragraph 5.1. below;
3.1.3.2. At the manufacturer's discretion, with the agreement of the technical service, either a second vehicle, or those parts of the vehicle regarded by him as essential for the test referred to in paragraphs 5.2. and 5.3. below.
3.1.3.3. The competent authority shall verify the existence of satisfactory arrangements for ensuring effective control of the conformity of production before type approval is granted.
