Vocational and Trade School Pupils. Any pupil residing in a member town who is desirous of attending a trade or vocational school outside the District shall have all the privileges of attending such a school as are now of hereafter provided for by law and the cost of tuition for attending such a school and the Gateway Agreement -11- 1/4/74 cost of transportation, when necessary, shall be borne by the town in which the pupil resides, provided, however, that nothing contained herein shall prevent the regional school district from including such costs in its operating budget and assessing the towns involved for such costs.

Vocational and Trade School Pupils. Any pupil residing in a member town who is desirous of attending a trade or vocational school outside the District shall have all the privileges of attending such a school as are now or may be hereafter provided for by law and the cost of tuition for attending such a school and the cost of transportation, when necessary, shall be borne by the town wherein the student resides.
Vocational and Trade School Pupils. Any pupil residing in a member town which is not a member of a vocational regional school district who is desirous of attending a trade or vocational school outside the District shall have all the privileges of attending such a school as are now or may be hereafter provided for by law. Such towns shall be responsible for the education of such pupils at such out-of-district schools in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 74 of the General Laws and acts amendatory thereto. The cost of tuition for attending such schools shall be borne by the towns wherein the pupil resides. The Committee, acting on the behalf of these towns, shall furnish transportation services, as needed, for town pupils who attend a trade or vocational school outside the District, and the cost of transportation (when necessary) shall be assessed by the District upon the town wherein the pupil resides. The cost of transportation during a fiscal year shall be assessed to the towns in the same fiscal year at such times and in such manner as the Committee and the towns shall agree. The award of any contract for such transportation services shall be made by the Committee, subject to the advice and consent of the involved towns. To facilitate these arrangements and promote cooperation between the towns and the Committee, an Advisory Committee shall be appointed each year following annual town elections and the annual reorganization of the Committee. Each town which is not a member of a vocational regional school district shall, by its board of selectmen, appoint one member and one alternate to the Advisory Committee. The Committee, by its chair, shall appoint one member and one or more alternates to the Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee shall have five voting members, each member to have one vote.

  • Employment and Training Administration The ratio of trainees to journeymen on the job site shall not be greater than permitted under the plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration. Every trainee must be paid at not less than the rate specified in the approved program for the trainee's level of progress, expressed as a percentage of the journeyman hourly rate specified in the applicable wage determination. Trainees shall be paid fringe benefits in accordance with the provisions of the trainee program. If the trainee program does not mention fringe benefits, trainees shall be paid the full amount of fringe benefits listed on the wage determination unless the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division determines that there is an apprenticeship program associated with the corresponding journeyman wage rate on the wage determination which provides for less than full fringe benefits for apprentices. Any employee listed on the payroll at a trainee rate who is not registered and participating in a training plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the classification of work actually performed. In addition, any trainee performing work on the job site in excess of the ratio permitted under the registered program shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the work actually performed. In the event the Employment and Training Administration withdraws approval of a training program, the contractor will no longer be permitted to utilize trainees at less than the applicable predetermined rate for the work performed until an acceptable program is approved.

  • Professional and Education Leaves (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.

  • Streets and Municipal Services 4.1 Off-Site Disturbance Any disturbance to existing off-site infrastructure resulting from the development, including but not limited to, streets, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, street trees, landscaped areas and utilities, shall be the responsibility of the Developer, and shall be reinstated, removed, replaced or relocated by the Developer as directed by the Development Officer, in consultation with the Development Engineer.

Cooperation shall include, among other subjects: (a) the designing and development of mechanisms to encourage partnership and productive chain linkage development; (b) development of human resources and management skills to increase the knowledge of the Chinese and Peruvian markets; (c) defining and developing methods and strategies for clusters development; (d) increasing access to information regarding mandatory procedures and any other relevant information for an SME exporter; (e) defining technological transference: programs oriented to transfer technological innovation to SME and to improve their productivity; (f) increasing access to information on technological promotion programs for SME and financial support and encouragement programs for SME; (g) supporting new exporting SME (sponsorship, credits and guarantees, seed capital); and (h) encouraging partnership and information exchange for SME financing institutions (credits, banks, guarantee organizations, seed capital firms). 3. Cooperation shall be developed, among other activities, through: (a) information exchange; (b) conferences, seminars, experts dialogue and training programs with experts; and (c) promoting contacts between economic operators, encouraging opportunities for industrial and technical prospecting.
