Equal Opportunity Policy. A. The parties mutually recognize and agree to fully protect the rights of all employees inthe Bargaining Units represented by the Union to join and participate in the activities of the Union, or not to join and participate in such activities, and all other rights guaranteed by law.
B. No employees shall be interfered with, intimidated, restrained, coerced or discriminated against because of the exercise of these rights.
C. The provisions of this MOU shall apply equally to all covered employees without favor or discrimination based on any of the protected classes or categories listed in the City’s Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Policy - Annual Statement, or because of political or religious opinions or affiliations. In interpreting these terms, the City is bound by state and federal law.
D. The Union agrees to support affirmative action and equal opportunity plans and policies promulgated in accordance with procedures established by the City Council as consistent with state and federal law.
E. If an employee files a complaint with the state or federal authorities, the City shall cooperate fully with that agency if an investigation is conducted.
Equal Opportunity Policy. In compliance with Arkansas Code Annotated § 00-00-000, if a state agency is purchasing services, the Office of State Procurement (OSP) is required to have a copy of the Contractor’s Equal Opportunity (EO) Policy prior to entering into this Addendum. EO Policies may be submitted in electronic format to the following email address: xxxxxxxxx.xxx@xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx or Contractor may submit a hard copy with this Addendum. The submission of an EO Policy to OSP is a one-time requirement. The Company’s personnel policies and practices shall not discriminate in the hiring or promotion of employees on the basis of race, religious belief, colour, gender, physical disability, mental disability, marital status, age, ancestry or place of origin, family status or source of income and will comply with affirmative action legislation where applicable. The Company recognizes, however, that physical capability is a requirement for certain jobs and it is not discrimination to reject an application for such a job if it is clear that the applicant is physically incapable of performing the work required.

Both Parties subscribe to a policy of equal opportunity not to discriminate against race, gender, religion, national origins, marital status or sexual orientation.- Duration of Agreement, Evaluation, Renewal and Termination: This Agreement will be effective as of the date on which both Parties sign it and for a period of five years. This Agreement may be amended with the written consent of the Parties. It can also be terminated previous to the date of termination by each and any of the Parties with a sixty-day written notice to the other Party. Activities in progress at the time of termination of this Agreement will continue and conclude according to what had been planned, unless otherwise agreed by the Parties. This Agreement will be evaluated every five years to assess progress and the quality of mutual cooperation and it may be renewed with the new approval of both Parties.-
