WORK DURING AN EMERGENCY. The contractor shall perform any work and shall furnish and install any materials and equipment necessary during an emergency endangering life or property. In all cases they shall notify the Engineer of the emergency as soon as practicable, but he (she) shall not wait for instructions before proceeding to properly protect both life and property.

WORK DURING AN EMERGENCY. The Contract shall perform any and all operations and shall furnish any materials and equipment necessary during an emergency endangering life or property and, in all cases, shall notify RMWD of the emergency as soon as practicable, but shall not wait for instruction before proceeding to properly protect both life and property. Any additional compensation or extension of Contract Time claimed by the Con- tractor on account of an emergency shall be applied for as provided in Paragraph 16.4.
WORK DURING AN EMERGENCY. In the event of an emergency, other than as defined in Section 13.17, requirements for work shall be defined by the business continuity plan for each department.

  • Refund During Cooling-Off Period The PEI will provide the Student with a cooling-off period of seven (7) working days after the date that the Contract has been signed by both parties. The Student will be refunded the highest percentage (stated in Schedule D) of the fees already paid if the Student submits a written notice of withdrawal to the PEI within the cooling-off period, regardless of whether the Student has started the course or not.

  • Illness During Vacation (The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only) Where an employee's scheduled vacation is interrupted due to serious illness, which either commenced prior to or during the scheduled vacation period, the period of such illness shall be considered sick leave. Serious illness is defined as an illness which requires the employee to receive on-going medical care and/or treatments resulting in either hospitalization or which would confine the employee to their residence or to bed rest for more than three days. The portion of the employee's vacation which is deemed to be sick leave under the above provisions will not be counted against the employee's vacation credits.
