Work on a Holiday. Any eligible employee who works on a holiday shall be: 1) paid in cash at the employee's appropriate rate for all hours worked in addition to holiday pay provided for in Section 4 above; or, 2) if the agency does not choose to pay the holiday in cash, the employee may choose to receive the holiday in vacation or compensatory time at the employee’s appropriate overtime rate for all hours worked in addition to the holiday pay provided for in Section 4 above.

1) paid in cash at the employee's appropriate rate for all hours worked in addition to holiday pay provided for in Section 4 above; or,
2) if the agency does not choose to pay the holiday paid in cash, the employee may choose to receive the holiday in vacation or compensatory time cash at the employee’s 's appropriate overtime rate for all hours worked in addition to the an alternative holiday in lieu of holiday pay provided for in Section 4 above. The employee shall designate such alternative holiday within thirty (30) calendar days of the last date of the pay period in which the holiday occurs insofar as adequate scheduling of the work unit permits.
