Work Place Hazards. (a) The Employer agrees that all members of the Committee shall have the right to investigate safety hazards at the workplace at any time. Safety hazards include any procedure, part of a workplace, or place external to the workplace which has been or potentially could be affected by the workplace, a substance transported from the workplace, or a substance released from the workplace or any equipment, machine, device, article or thing which may harm a person or the environment.

Work Place Hazards. (a) The Company agrees that all members of the Committee shall have the right to investigate safety hazards at the workplace at any time. (b) If a Committee member determines that a safety hazard exists the Committee member may direct the Company to stop the work or to stop the use of any part of a workplace or of any equipment, machine, device, article or thing. (c) In the event of a disagreement between the co-chairpersons of the Committee that an unsafe condition exists, it is agreed that the Committee will seek the professional opinion of a third party to either determine that no safety hazard exists or offer a solution to resolve the safety hazard. (d) If the Company receives a direction under (c), the Company shall immediately comply with the direction and shall ensure that compliance is effected in a way that does not endanger a person or the environment.
Work Place Hazards. The parties agree that the Village of Whitehall is required to furnish its employees a work place free of recognized hazards which may be harmful to those employees. Maintaining a safe work place is a joint responsibility of the Village and its employees. When an unsafe condition or procedure is found, all employees are to tell their department head before a fellow worker is injured. The Employer shall insure each work place has a Material Safety Data Sheet book which contains information on all known hazardous materials within the work place. The employees shall be responsible to look up the materials that they use and follow the recommendations for safe usage. The employer will provide protective equipment for tasks which require the use of personal protective equipment. All employees will follow all laws regarding safety procedures and use of the protection equipment.

  • Fire Hazards Explosives and inflammable materials which conflict with the Insurance Underwriting or Fire Department must be excluded. The City Fire Department prohibits the use of paper, crepe paper, or corrugated papers, and cardboard that has not been flame proofed for decoration of exhibit booths. All cloth drapes or table covers must be treated for fire resistance. All boats and motorized vehicles must have fuel tanks sealed and batteries disconnected. The Fire Marshal may require fuel tanks to be drained and purged. All exhibits must be in compliance with ordinances and laws of the City and the State in which the Show is held.

  • Workplace Safety The parties to this Agreement commit themselves to achieving the highest possible standards of occupational health and safety including adherence to the consultative and issue resolution processes included herein. Participation in and support for building and construction industry initiatives to improve construction industry standards in occupational health and safety will form an important part of this commitment. Observance of relevant Acts, Regulations, and Codes of Practice are the minimum level acceptable to enable employers and employees to meet their responsibilities and to work safely and follow health and safety rules in their workplace. On all sites there will be developed a site safety plan and job specific ‘job safety analysis’ to identify and manage the risks associated with work on each particular site. Such safety plan will include suitable procedures for personnel/material access, and site evacuation procedures. The Incolink Safety Handbook ‘SAFE’ (as amended) is endorsed by this Agreement as a proper guide and reference source for safety management and control of risks.

  • Workplace Bullying Bullying for the purpose of this Article is any repeated or systemic behaviour which may be either physical, verbal or psychological including shunning, which would be seen by a reasonable person as intending to belittle, intimidate, coerce or isolate another person. Personal harassment and/or bullying does not include acceptable social banter in the workplace. Nor does it include actions occasioned through the exercise in good faith of management’s rights for bona fide operational requirements or progressive corrective discipline in a manner that is respectful of those involved.

  • Workplace Safety Insurance 6.1 For the purposes of Article 41.2 (Workplace Safety & Insurance) of the Central Collective Agreement “sixty-five (65) working days” shall be deemed to be (471¼ or 520) hours.

  • Geological and Archeological Specimens If, during the execution of the Work, the Contractor, any Subcontractor, or any servant, employee, or agent of either should uncover any valuable material or materials, such as, but not limited to, treasure trove, geological specimens, archival material, archeological specimens, or ore, the Contractor acknowledges that title to the foregoing is vested in the Owner. The Contractor shall notify the Owner upon the discovery of any of the foregoing, shall take reasonable steps to safeguard it, and seek further instruction from the Design Professional. Any additional cost incurred by the Contractor shall be addressed under the provision for changed conditions. The Contractor agrees that the Geological and Water Resources Division and the Historic Preservation Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources may inspect the Work at reasonable times.

  • Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (a) A Nurse who is injured while at work and as a result of such injury is certified by a medical doctor as unfit to complete the working day, shall receive pay at the regular rate for time lost on the day that such injury is sustained and no deduction will be made from sick leave credits with respect to that particular working day.
