Work Shift The hours an employee is scheduled to work each workday in a workweek.
Work Shifts Employees shall be scheduled to work on regular work shifts having regular starting and quitting times. Except for emergencies (see Section D), employees' work schedules shall not be changed without written notice to the employee at least five (5) working days prior to the date the change is to be effective. HOURS OF WORK (Continued) 3.02 The normal hours of work shall be eight (8) or ten (10) hours daily, Monday through Thursday or Friday, maximum forty (40) hours in a week. Where the Employer cannot start or continue work due to inclement weather, the Employer may request the Employee(s) work on the Friday or Saturday, as appropriate, at the regular hourly rate of pay to conclude a normal work week of forty (40) hours and notify the Union of same. No discriminatory action will be taken against those Employees refusing the work.
Length of Work Year 1. The length of the work year for custodians, accountants, (excluding school lunch accountant), personnel specialist, maintenance, maintenance helpers, mechanics, purchasing coordinator, county receptionist, warehouse and property records coordinator shall be twelve months.
Regular Work Week The regular work week shall be any five (5) consecutive days, Sunday through Saturday, for a total regular work week of forty (40) working hours, subject to the applicable premiums where provided for in this Agreement. Notwithstanding the above, employees may volunteer to work schedules that fall outside of the regular work week of Sunday through Saturday and may do so, upon approval by the Company, and with no penalty cost to the Company, but with applicable premiums as provided for in this Agreement.
Day Shift The standard work day will consist of eight (8) hours worked between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with a designated thirty (30) minute lunch period. Starting and stopping times to be determined by mutual agreement between the Company and the shop employees.
Workday/Workweek A. The normal workweek for each full-time employee shall be forty (40) hours.
Length of Work Day The regular employee work day shall be no more than seven (7) hours forty (40) minutes including the duty-free lunch period of thirty (30) continuous minutes.
Work Day/Work Week 1. The work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday of no more than eight (8) hours per day and no more than forty (40) hours per work week. This shall not restrict the extension of the employee’s usual and customary workday or workweek when such is necessary to carry on the business of the School District. Employees who actually work more than forty (40) hours per week will receive overtime pay (time-and-a-half).
Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.
