Step Increases All increases shall be based on merit as established by the record of the employee's performance and shall require recommendation of the Department Head. If the City Manager at any time determines that it is in the City's interest, he may assign an employee to a higher rate within the salary range fixed for the classification. The City Manager shall regulate the accelerated advancement through the salary range steps. Subject to the provisions of this Section 12.3, an employee shall receive increases in salary according to the following plan: Step 2 upon completion of twelve (12) months' service in Step 1 unless the City Manager disapproves.
Funding Increases Before the Funder can make an allocation of additional funds to the HSP, the parties will:
