However, the vesting period for gratuity purposes will not be transferable and will recommence with the date of employment at the hiring College. Subject to the provisions of the pension plans, if re-employment takes place within 18 months the pension plan will continue for affected employees, if a refund has not been paid. However, if a refund has been paid, the employee may take advantage of the "prior service option".
